Well have to say reckon we were blessed by the dirt bike gods on this one..
About as good as conditions get at this time of the year..
Arrived at the beauy macca’s meet spot to some light drizzle rain, overcast conditions perfect..
On the drive out to the bong things did clear a little..

On to the ride
Geared up and ready to ride by about 7.15 from memory..
Right into a bit of s/t from the get go,as we headed to the rollercoaster got to pete300’s collarbone log which the farmer had kindly cut for us when fixing his fence all that was required was to roll it out of the way..
So you are in the clear there next time Pete
From here it was across to the rollercoaster via the wall ride track, several log crossings just to keep everyone honest..
A short break before entering the rollacoaster had to give the hands a rest, but have to say was too hot at this stage to be stopping..
The rollercoaster was prime and is a super section of s/t one of my favourite sections of track anywhere, think we were all feeling the heat a little after completing it…

From here had hoped to keep it flowing to stay a little cooler, but as the bong does another large tree across the track that wasn’t there last ride…
So bit of stop while we made our way around it as a little large to be going over…
Up onto the ridge track before linking to Mcintosh rd for some more s/t took the blokes down a track haven’t done for months, sorry lads didn’t expect it to be so overgrown…

Was in no mood for clearing a way along 6klms of s/t so back tracked and hit some nice s/t back to the cars for a refuel before the southern loop..
This is when Grim an Russ decided that after a few fouled plugs, chain trouble and ghey tyre that had decided to shred itself that they would call it a day.

Also started to get a nice steady shower at this point, the rest of the day could only be described as prime..
We headed off again and the pace really lifted, the group smashed CSR ,GMT and hughes rd with no more than a quick breather..
Bit of a stop before we headed back to the cars via north yabbra road, some great high speed stuff..
Had ball dueling with ktm01 and dt450 also stickin his front wheel in..
Chucked in a little section of s/t at the end just to keep 300jeff happy.(i find it hard to go past so will use any excuse)
Back at the cars some bench racing and a couple of thanks Manager

In ending the report i had great day, thanks to all that made it that way. Great to meet a couple of new faces as well..
One can only hope to get riding like that at this time of year,I consider us very lucky indeed…

Till next time cheers..
No pics but have some footage

You got Lucky with the weather Robo, just a few klicks back down the road it was 40+ all day in the sun.

What do you call the track with the massive mud gully washout about 6′ x 6′ that you can’t go around, ask Grant how you can get stuck in it….

What’s to go over the Xmas break, you blokes doing a few rides?

I was thinking maybe Napalm death resort II, with better knowledge of the extensive S/T out there now we can use Grant or Greg as tour guides (that way they can be lynched instead of me… ;) ), it is possible to do an almost from beach to Whiporee ride from what I can gather
