January 18, 2010 at 10:31 am #168561yeah lets get all excited over how many posts we have i would rather it be over how much time we spent ridding and ripping up the scrub but i dont know about you but i’m the 3 and a bit months i owned my 4fiddy i done nearly 2000 km thats too much isnt it
January 18, 2010 at 10:32 am #168585Nah I’m sure TB, I will agree it’s gotta be the right rider as one thing I still more than hold my own on is the blacktop, ridden motards and to this day the quickest mountain twisty road bike is IMHO the TZr250sp, the midcorner speed and roadholding is phenominal I could get one through the carousel and bustop combo at Lakeside quicker than an ex-aussie superbike rider could a full motarded DR650. Some of the cult roadies are purpose built with almost perfect geos/suspension and still come in under 140 kg wet stock with over 60 usuable HP ex factory and good torque.
I’ve been to ride days at eastern creek and lakeside where people have said “look at the chooky he’s passing that bloke on the corner” but it’s always the rider, a well tuned lightweight roadie would be faster in the same hands, as always it’s 90% rider, having said that all the motards I’ve ridden have been a blast but always leave me thinking ’bout time i bought another tar muncher…………
which I am later this year……..
wanted this particular model for 17 years and the Missus agrees the time is near.
But it’s all fun Dudes and Dudettes, even harleys’ have fun factor, ever tried to emergency brake on one??????

I would rather be riding too, but given that I have to try and balance family time and going to work (like everyone else) with ride time, posting and reading posts on OBT scratches the itch until my next ride.

My daughter is fullon Goth, so is her older cousin, Emo is a sub-culture again, now Goth culture has been around for hundreds of years and as she tells me the difference between a Goth and an Emo is that a Goth wants to hurt everyone else, whereas an Emo only wishes to hurt themselves, my takeon it all?
I was a bikeriding skinhead who was into SKA at that age, what’s it matter, just youth culture, better they identify with something than be vacant drones, sorta just like those tearaway old blokes instead of golf or lawn bowls buying late model motorcycles that they never really explore the limits of really…….
but try to anyway
so it’s all good

I would love to ride every weekend or when ever I wanted to.
Enjoy your freedom to ride whenever you want while you can.

Dan,
Are you on the floor of the toilet again? Only this time, Kylie is standing on your back again just like the December photo/quote of the month competition!
