Like the title says, I have found a 2011 KTM 250 sx cylinder and head (2T). I cannot find on the net any confirmation that it may fit my 2009 KTM 250 exc. My exc cylinder recently received some minor damage. I was after some advice. Cheers. (p.s the sx cylinder comes with head, piston kit and ignition)

Thanks Ted300. I called to confirm what year the SX kit was and I stuffed up. It’s for 2012 to 2014. So I assume it will not fit. I changed the subject title from 2011 to 2012 onwards. Cheers.

Thanks Ted300. I bought the bike a few weeks ago. On its first ride down to pump up the tyres the piston looks to have eating a piece of its ring or maybe something came up from the bottom end. What ever happened the cylinder ended up with some gouge marks. My options are to send it to get replated and piston kit. The bottom end will need to be done as I don’t want the thought of something in the bottom when I am 30km away from the ute and the local ktm said he could feel up and down movement of the crank. (the seller gave a receipt that totals a full rebuild only 30 hours ago but bikes are bikes) Just looking at other options as a replate and piston kit will be around 800 incl freight. KTM have an OEM 300 kit for 1250 and then I came across this 250 sx kit. With the kits the benefit is having new power valve parts etc. I will do some more research.
