February 27, 2011 at 7:11 pm #197377no issue with my HONDA
February 27, 2011 at 7:34 pm #197378My Berg is like that, particularly in 1st, not so bad in other gears though and like yours, a pain to get into neutral unless I am trying to change gears on a snotty uphill, then it’s really easy.
February 27, 2011 at 8:49 pm #197379Mine does that to jeffro.I wonder what people who race do about this because in some circumstances (in a rut almost at the top of a hill)it would cost you heaps of time

Actually I was watching the David Knight video and I reckon the better riders have great clutch control that allows them to minimise wheel spin and stopp from lofting the front wheel too much on some of those snooty hills.

Sorry BellingenEv, I know that doesn’t help solve the problem. I did mention it to my Husky mechanic last week when I took the bike in for a service and he told me that it’s normal for … now bear with me being a typical female here … but I think he said it was typical of EFI bikes. Don’t shoot me down, I’m just the messenger, don’t even know if your bike is fuel injected or not, but that’s what I was told.

I always thought that EFI was supposed not to do that-not supposed to flood, supossed to start straight away, change the mix as conditions changed etc etc. Have a mate with a gg450 and if he stalls, it’s a pain to start again, it can’t be the way it’s meant to be

Like badbowie pointed to earlier, it could be clutch drag as he had that problem last weekend when we rode.
Mine definitely has a little drag as it turns over slower than when in neutral, although since my bike was rejetted recently, it rarely is hard to start.
