how do you rate the steg pegs mate ?
PTW
Mate glad you ask they are BRILLIANT. Get them. I swear they are the best item for any offroad bike that you spend riding up on the pegs for ANY length of time.
They are so unobtrusive and natural feeling on the bike and save so much leg and arm input its hard to see why they haven’t become a sensation item and the first thing to put on… even before a bashplate.. Brilliant

I found the steg pegz sat to far back on a WR wich meant the back brake was not in reach.I tried to use them but gave up in the end, maybe I stand to far forward?

Hey Ollie me and Tom my son have been running this jetting for a while now and agree that you do get very good clean, crisp throttle response but the economy was not so good
we tend to be switching over to reserve around 70 – 80ks
April 20, 2012 at 6:37 pm #220119Gyday mike. As I now dont have a WR I was only going off what others have said
I know standard the economy was only about 70KM’s to a tank. I was lead to believe that this jetting was designed to liven it up as well as improve the mileage. I reckon the WR set up like Crow has it now is a good thing especially with the Cush drive Hub.
Nice ride mate.
Ollie
April 20, 2012 at 10:47 pm #220127Didn’t I see this bike on ADV???
Forum tart!
That said it’s still a sweet bike
April 20, 2012 at 10:54 pm #220101Regarding the Steg Pegz BellingenEv..
I moved mine forward and back to both extremes first testing which end felt better but ended up running them as far back as they would go in the end. That just happened to be perfectApril 21, 2012 at 12:52 pm #220140Hey Crow,
Nice looking ride that you have got there mate. I am currently converting my Kato to do the same, both Adv and Enduro and I was wondering where you get the Hahn cush drive rear hub from and at what sort of approximate cost.Cheers,

LeftyI got it through Glen Hoffman from http://www.dirtbike.com.au for about 900 bucks and still needs disc and sprocket. The talon cush drives aren’t as good as Hahn I found out.

Thanks mate.
I don’t know that I’ve ridden with any unrestricted WR with that bad fuel economy even doing nothing but single line.I’ll admit I don’t spend hours fiddling to achieve better economy because it all works well already but 70km is 2T range.
One point to fuel economy that can’t be quoted in a setup is the rider and his riding style. You don’t need to be at full noise to be fast. I try to get a good flow up without the hype of sounding flat out, and I find it’s a discipline to keep up when the heat is on riding against someone else but it slows my head space down and I make less mistakes when pushing harder and save fuel.

Haha yeah reckon. I hunted about the Safari community for a second hand one for quite a while but they were all around 700-800 bucks at the right price too. The cheapest one was $600 from a really nice bloke in Sydney but his wheels were missing in action somewhere in SA still on loan?!. Though I was lucky enough to score a free rear 5litre tank from him… long story but like I said really nice bloke…

I think your on the money Mike with the economy, as it states GNCC style Conditions, not riding snotty singles, although N.P. That sorted the jetting rides some serious snot. The new owner of his WR is back to 70km tank.

How do you run Steg Pegz with the rear tank?
Have you still got the original ADR tail piece fitted that holds the number plate & indicators?
How does the fuel line run from the rear tank to the Carby?
Why does the front brake hose run around the outside of the fork leg?
