August 29, 2010 at 11:24 pm #186619Thanks Lotsa for a great day. Really enjoyed the day and the new tyres had me picking up the pace compared with previous outings on the stock DRZ tyres (Thanks again Sutto’s)Even though 01 and me only did 200 odd K’s,compared to the 400 odd that you all did,I found that enough. The $10 lunch at the pub followed by a couple of scooners was a real treat. After leaving you all at the Putty Rd, we were home and unloaded at 7.30.I hope to get out with you all again soon.
Thanks Again 02
August 29, 2010 at 11:42 pm #186620Wahoooo. Top ride you dirty old bulls.
yes my speedo said just over 500Ks. We covered some trails Yengo Putty, Commission, Appletree Flat, The Martindale track is one not to miss. It gets pretty steep in places and the meander along next to the creek which would never see the sun in places was awesome and I could I would ride on that stuff all day.
Saw heaps of wild life. Plenty of roos, bunnys, 1 Kat, 4 Wombats – one seemed to be sunning his belly on the side of the road though, but the others seemed to be just as surprised to see us as we were of them. The ride back in the dark was exciting and those heated grips are lifesavers.
There was a bourbon in there for you Mark and Kat stayed on the Rum, lunch was good but the coffee was the worst Id had all day.
Here is some pics.
This crew met at Morisset at 7 bells and did the scenic route through the Watagans. Jethro met us at Laguna.

The water was a bit on the brisk side.

Thanks Lotsa.Well run.
Where are we off to next?

Get to Stratford any way you like then up Gloucester Tops rd to Rawdon Vale rd to Scone rd to Moonan Flat for lunch then home via Gundy, Glenbawn Dam, Rouchel rd to Albano rd to Bridgman rd then left into Sunnyside lane to Dyrring rd to Glendon Brook to Branxton to Greta to Old Maitland rd to Abermain to home.Have a look on Google Maps and you should be able to join the dots, if not give us a yell
