XR 650 radiator guards

Have been asked by a friend to recommend good radiator guards for his xr. It is one of the last ones they built.?? 07?? Have followed the no DEVOL post and have checked TB’s posts and he has UNABIKER or something like that. They look good and strong are they the go. It will be his money i am spending so cost is not an issue for me!!

Yeah Unibiker, Crash and I researched guards for the 650 and that was the conclusion huge in the states where 650’s have a cult following. They bolt together and brace across the back and front and to the frame. Pains to fit but other then that all good. No guard would have prevented the damaged radiator I had at Wauchope as the bike fell from a height straight onto stump end on.

My opinion good things, and I tried 2 other brands first before the Unibikers, we purchased them through thumpertalks online store

Thanks TB service with a smile. You will so make me sound like an expert. But he is an old bugger getting into dirt bikes after the kids took his life away :laugh: So he will be a great candidate for latest Old Bull Member. So he can research the site in his own time.

Haaaa! I would love it if that was the case but golf is the only word he knows now. He has even bought a block that backs on to the longyard golf course. That will be me in about 20 years but my house will back on to Dirtbike Territory or Phillip Island :laugh:
