XR400 Speedo

As title says, looking for a speedo for the piglet. what do you have down the back of the shed, covered in dust and chook poo? Preferably one that hasn’t had a recent talking too from a stringy bark in Ourimbah State Forest

In time I’ll be looking for a complete set of electrics for one too. Harness(es), coil, etc. I have a parts bike that is almost complete…….

I use push bike speedo’s on my XR and also my DT200 if that helps mate :dry:

Might not be perfectly legal but they get thru rego checks no worries :whistle:

unless you can get one for reasonably cheap I wouldn’t bother. Remembering the ‘R’ was last made 10 years ago now. So unless you want 100% original and you’re going to get genuine honda $ :sick: $ I would by-pass it all together and go for something like a Trail Tech: Endurance II, Vapor, Striker or Voyager.

Worth a thought.

yeah, thought the chance of finding an old secondhand one to just plug n play. What’s the minimum required for rego, ie do you need idiot lights???, neutral, indicator, highbeam

As far as I know, no you don’t need dash lights eg indicator High beam (someone in the industry please correct me if I’m wrong) and the XR400R doesn’t have a neutral light so that’s that one taken care of at least
