XR600 Renovate or detonate??

Call me biased but, I think put a good bike together out of the three, sell it and all the left over bits and get a BMW G450X or the 650X.
You then have a high quality bike with warranty, reliability and it will renew your faith in dirt biking and manufacturers. That’s what my Beemer did for me.

Wouldnt call that biase WikdBeemer, I think it`s a brilliant suggestion’ “However” if there was a DRZ 400E purchased with the money left over, the quality of life and the relaibility would be fanominal.LOL:P

I dont think so Eagle.
The fact that Mick is asking us indicates to me he is at a dilemma and is probably tired of the older tech. type of bike,:dry: he may even need counselling to help him through this :blush:

I think its the low tech nature and simplicity of XR’s that is the appeal. No radiator for a start has it’s advantages, I’m sure thats something you would understand Wickd.

I threw my GOOD XR away on Saturday big time and if it had of had a radiator on it, my wallet would have been in for a whole world of hurt. Sometimes simplicity is good.
Performance per CC isn’t really an issue, as the XR did everything that all the state off the art bikes did this weekend and did it easy.
I get some degree of perverse satisfaction out of riding past “new” bikes on the XR.

Get the cam ground and replace a couple of rockers and go from there. The rockers are only $43 each.
