I tried the y6 and y2 needle jets in the engines I have seen, extreme rich and extreme lean. The y4 is the only one that’s close.
Where did you buy this bike? Wasn’t an ex race bike with a modified flywheel for a vortex ignition and the ignition has been swapped back?
At 4000 rpm you should only have 25 degrees of advance with 33 total at 5500.
Can you pop the alt. cover off and take a photo of the pickup bar on the flywheel?

i is not an ex race bike jake brought it in very stock form this is a pic he posted of it on adv ride saying he had just purchased an xrr he then went about modding it with full staintuned exhaust tried a tm40, a crf???x usd front end and had the rear cr500 hybrid shock built at tecnik i believe as it had a tecnik sticker on the res and i’m pretty sure that he told me it was done with you guys i have since modded it more myself your fork spring, some gold valves and the rear shock was overhauled and valved by dave (suspension matters)

when i get a chance i will pop the cover and take a picture
