Damage may have already been done? Was the bearing split like mine?

Mine is now 3000 shy of the suggested 30000 check up on this issue, and it sure looks like it may be an idea to have it seen too as I wont be getting a new one anytime soon.
Is there anything else that would need checking at that interval as I had better start to save my pennies for the inevitable :pinch:
Cheers james

Inevitable  I am not sure James. There are more of them around world wide that have more miles with no failure that those that have failed. My black one was ridden hard, I don’t know about Choots.
The big difference between your gearbox and drive line and my black one for example is you get triple the chain and sprocket life I do. You also get double the tyre life at least, meaning your drive line. gearbox etc is not under anywhere near the stress mine was. You don’t jump water bars (most I have notched are in 3 rd gear) which shocks the drive line.
Get the bearing done, I will help you with that. Its cheap and be reassured yours will last until you rebuild the engine in the 80’s the way you look after itIMO with these bikes

That’s the politest way that I have ever been told that my riding ability isn’t worth a knob of goat s#@t      Not sure I look after my bike that well TB as the number of times I have dropped her must be in triple figures  they are Tonka Tough in that regard.
Thanks heaps for the insight and offer of assistance yet again
Cheers James

TB a peace of the bearing ” sprag side ” found at the bottom of the motor under the clutch . Yes I think the gear was at the point of failure at the time I replaced the selector bearing. CHOOT.
