Hey all,
Old man and I are heading out to do a lap of our back yard on Saturday the 13th to give me a little more time in the seat before Coffs ride.
If ya keen let me know it will just be a few hours with a bbq mid way at the picnic area in the mountain.

November 7, 2010 at 9:13 pm #190289G’day Corey
I’m keen to tag along. I’ll just have to see how work pans out later in the week but I’ll try and arrange it to join you.
Need a bit more time in the saddle myself

Thats cool Kram just let me know.
I/we will be meeting at Biggerals place on Grassy head Road which backs onto the bush and be just a cruize ride. Been a few years to be honest since we have had a good ride through the mountain

No worries a cruize ride suits me at the moment. I’m just getting back into the saddle myself. I might bring another bloke with me if he doesn’t have to work.

November 8, 2010 at 8:47 am #190300The last time we rode Yarrhappini the Lantana had taken most of the trails over on the western side in the State Forest (badbowie was ripped off his bike on the run up to the towers).
The eastern side the National Parks had graded the majority of tracks including this hill, it was still a little tricky but an easy run to the top.

Better riding on the other side of the highway IMHO & over to Taylors Arm

November 9, 2010 at 8:30 am #190372Perfect timing. I’m working at Smithtown on Thursday night, can take my bike up and stay over Friday.
I don’t think the mighty DR650 will cut in the single trail though. As soon as it sees multiple bumps it turns into a bucking bronko.
Might be time to look for another enduro bike.
These rides are too go to pass up.
Have fun fellas.

You’d be able to handle it on the DR, not much single track up there, a couple of big hills might challenge the highway gearing on the DR
November 9, 2010 at 8:59 am #190288Hey Stuart
I could do it for sure. It’s just not as much fun as an enduro bike because it’s a big lump of a machine. I would be wishing I was on an enduro bike all day. I’d rather get something fit for purpose.I’ve been spoilt in recent years with light bikes. How did I do it in the old days
