Well after a slight change in plans we moved the ride to 2pm so Kram could make the ride. I met up with Kram outside the tavern and we headed up to the Old mans house and unloaded and suited up.
off we went 500m and your in the bush and head through some nice twins and singles with a few hills, Kram soon found out that our play ground is rockie yet fun. We head from the eastern side of the mountain to the western side going through tracks that we havent ridden on it 10 years that were nice singles. We can across a hill called grid hills which i told Kram you use to have a loose face on it but they have cleared it all so all good famous last words
 any one who knows me knows i love going up hills but no it took me 3 goes to the other twos first attempt :angry:We headed for the top of the moutain to the towers and we rode up a sweet single that had a few logs to over come and all was good till i looked back to see i was by my self. 10 minutes later the other 2 showed up with dad missing his number plate.(found it on back track).
So we headed to the top up tower hill which has had alot of four wheel drives on it lately and have stuffed it (and they say bikes do damage to the bush  ) well as dad and i waited at the top Kram had a couple of goes before we showed him the main road around the hill
where we enjoyed a cool breeze and a drink and dad and i took turns in riding Krams bike up the hill.
We then headed back down the northern side of the mountain and throught the moutain bike race track which has one lot of trees about 3 inches to narrow for the bikes which is fun to try get through.
Made our way back to the olds place going through more fun trails and now i think i am ready for coffs and Kram feels the sameNovember 13, 2010 at 8:50 am #190674how was your ankle Corey ?? pull up allright good i hope , we are off to Barrington tomorrow and then its gear up for coffs harbour in a fortnight , bring it on :woohoo: :woohoo:

So it’s only a couple of hours south of yamba!!
If you want an extra rider next time you go that way I’d be keen and I’m sure STM would be up for it too!
November 13, 2010 at 9:41 pm #190689Thanks Corey and Al for moving the start time so I could join in on this ride. I’m really glad I made it coz it was heaps of fun.
Al’s place backs straight onto Yarrahapinni mountain and although Corey and Al may not have ridden there for a while you could tell they knew the place like the back of their hands.
There was some really fun twins, great hills, beautiful valleys and creeks and fun tight singles. It was the workout my dodgy wrist really needed
I have to go back because there was one hill I gave up on and I need to have another crack at it. Corey and Al showed me, shamed me I should say  , by riding up it with ease. Both of them even had a go with my bike just to prove it wasn’t my bikes fault
The view from the top of the mountain was terrific, with a clear line of sight to the areas beaches and mountains to the west. Me and Corey cooled off in the breeze while Al went in search of his lost number plate.
The ride back down the mountain was just as fun as going up and after about three hours riding we were back at Al’s beautiful Organic Farm.
You blokes have gotta let me know when you’re going again because I’m there. It was a top ride and a lot of fun.
If Corey posts another ride there get on it you won’t regret it :woohoo: I’ll be there for sure.
