April 20, 2010 at 8:19 am #176547The yeee haa ride report.
We all met at the normal meeting place at 07.00hour ready for a gentle days trail repairing and exploring new trails for the future…Yeah right.
Unload the bikes and were off, rat up a rafter type stuff.
We got to the first pine forest singles and Jarrod was videoing us coming out of some natural timber. I seen him there so show ponied a bit only to look up and see a tree down over the track in front of me. Some hale Maries and heavy braking and I avoided it. Jarrod and Aaron move the log and that was about the extent of our track maintenance for the day. :dry:We went on through some of the singles and Snowy must have got tired cause I found him laying next to his bike having a rest,, :woohoo:
We continued on along some familiar tracks and then dropped down parachute hill and headed towards the back of the dam, Aaron said he had never seen the dam so I took the group down there to show him it.
We then hit the trail up towards the berry patch, There’s no using the normal route anymore due to rather well built gates, alternate routes were found, Damus,Jarrod,Aaron took a steep single whilst the rest of us took a not so well used fire trail. Both trails apparently ended up at the same spot. My group continued on to the berry patch and the others arrived there 5 minutes later.
With both bikes and bodies fuelled up we headed off.
Damus found some really sweet single/fire trails that will require further exploration later on. :cheer: The ride back to the cars was pretty much uneventful and we were all glad to make it bake in one piece.Til next ride.
Keep your bike upright and you throttle open

April 20, 2010 at 9:35 am #176552Yeh Dont worry I know the BRP’s throw some roost,I chased Crash through the sandy tracks at the back of Krams and he threw up sandstone boulders, logs, wombats and bush turkeys  I did eventually get passed him,but it was a case of my safety and well being  ( geez we were both onit tho :woohoo: ) The Rowan on his berg 450 got me a few beuties in the same area come to think of it.

Be prepared to have the front of your bike look like mine if you sit behind a roosting 650:ohmy: I liken being hit with 650 roost like being shot by a shot gun (not that I have ever been shot with a shot gun for a fair comparison) but you get my drift I hope
