August 4, 2008 at 9:57 am #106117good fotos Mac atak,, those hondas look quite good hey,, where,s your KToom??
August 4, 2008 at 10:08 am #106118Theres a fair bit of history with that big tanked XR, the tank holds 48 litres in two tanks with pumps to pump the fuel up to the carb, Glen Hoffman built it and raced it in the early years around 2001 to 2003 I think, its a 2000 model. It is the same spec engine as mine etc It broke down or he had dramas with it, fuel problems in the safari and it never surfaced again until Ben won the Condo 750 with it in 2005
I have heard rumours regarding purchase price that mate paid for it with spare parts new and 2nd hand, enough to say you could buy a new BMW 1200 GS and have some change but who knowsAugust 4, 2008 at 10:20 am #106109Is that number plate on the back of the big honda a graphic??

August 5, 2008 at 5:32 am #106135Well its offical cracked off the skyfiod (whatever that is)(and appently thats bad) Iam going to Sydneys leading hand surgeon tomorrow. More pinns you bueat:( the doc asked when i did it and i said only this morning and he looked abit dubious.
Anyway enough of that.
back to the saturday:
Saturday Prologue: Crap came off big time in it (over a fence jump) lost about 30 to 40 sec. so qual’d 192.Gilly 67th, i think TB 100th and Chicken 136th dont qoute me.
Everyone left me,as they do when your down the back end, Finally my turn came. Seen the 1st rider down @ about the 20 K mark(one off the front runners) pretty bad sheet, Drip and 1000 ambo’s around him. feeling alright until i went for a slide in the wet kangaroo grass (i joined 3 other riders having a little lie down also:laugh:)@ the 70 k mark hit the 1st feul stop little bit of a breather.
About another 40k after that i had my big off at around 120-130 k. broke my hand. bit my in half, bent my left thumb, and ate a meat pie of dirt.
the Kato started back up and off we went with handle bars bent down lower than my R1
felt like i was riding an old ag100:laugh:made it to the next fuel stop and an old mate filled the ktm (thank god)
only 70 ks to go then SAND, i hate it 2 more offs:(
backed off a bit with 20 ks to go exhaustion set in.
made it back and all the boys from TB’s crew and my crew gave me a cheer:cheer:
i was stuffed
look at this good looking rooster, blood and dirt
Anyway enough bitchinMy crew had already arked up the famous spit trailer (thanks scooter and Glen)
that night TB’s crew came over and hoe’d into some pork and beef.a few tubes were thrown down but in the whole everyone i think was to stuffed except my crew who can not only drink but can eat also. A you can see:laugh:
[Ryno if you think my trailers good, check this out this one.:woohoo:
Anyway i would like to thank My crew and TB’s crew for a top weekend and will be back next year to hopefully finish the rotten thingMadMacs
