I have today purchased a new set of wheels for the 650, I have spent a fair amount of time researching these new wheels. I could have purchased a set of Talon Hubs with DID, Excel or SM Pro rims as does everybody and with good reason, but I felt that they maybe over priced. I habe SM pro rims already with standard hubs and spokes.
I found these and after some 15 e mails worth of questions etc to the owner of the company regarding these hub, spoke and rim combo’s, the rims etc have proven themselves in competition so armed with all the information I ordered my wheels from, Yoko Off Road International
Some samples of their work
I will keep updating this thread, these wheels are a very well priced option for your ride I feel, and based upon all the information I have gathered a strong, long wearing choice as well, they know that I will be posting my thoughts no matter what they are here good or bad.
You can have these custom made with rim and spoke combinations of your choice also.

My 1st thought was for a set of bling hubs, you know a set of talons etc all the bling, but with setting the NX up with radios etc, kids bikes etc I couldnt justify the expense. I then thought that as I had nearly 5 years of racing and riding from a standard hub and standard spokes I would then just fit a standard hub. Mal from Sutto’s priced me a new genuine Honda rear hub, he said he couldnt do much on the price as a KTM dealer they had to buy it in and it was $425 !! Hub only
I then found this distributor and spent sometime checking it out and agreeing to purchase a set and then review them as a cheaper alternative when replacing worn, broken or non blinged wheels
Once they arrive I will post up some contact details etc for the wheels.
My colour choice, well I have pictures of them but I will wait to the Caves to Caves ride I think now you mention it

i was put onto it by the same guy that fixed my pipe (Glen) when i asked if he ever sleeved wheels.
it won’t bling your bike with colourful wheels and wave disks. but it is strong and lasts longer than the bearingsApril 24, 2009 at 1:55 am #130405

AnonymousThey do look bling!
April 28, 2009 at 12:35 am #131067I’m more than mildly intersted in the quality/longevity of these too TB, have been less than impressed with my last three sets of DID that have resulted in two dented badly, and three cracked, now before saying I’m rough, have only have one flat during this time, so I am less than impressed with the quality of Alloy or consistant quality at least in what was the leading rim.
Young fella has Talon wheels on one of his bikes, very true and tough little rims.
