The other day I noticed oil spewing out of Moose’s 05 YZ125.
Upon closer inspection,it appears that the counter shaft seal is stuffed. Before I offer to help fix it ,I wanna know do you have to take the side cover off or can it be done by just removing the sprocket and flicking the old seal out? Then whacking a new one in. Anyone done one here?

On a serious note mick, most counter shaft seals are an easy job, just be sure you clean it all up so no dirt ends up in the engine. I will get back to ya shortly but I am sure it will be an easy job

Lets organise a day soon (next week sometime)and we will get Mooses YZ sorted. Yeah there will be rum involved, although I will just stick to the beers. We need somebody who can decide when you have had enough..LOL

A bit like me at Hillend then. A perfect example of maturity and moderation (of alcohol) brought together in glorious harmony

My countershaft seal is leaking so I’ll try and replace that before the Wauchope ride and see how easy it is to do. I might even do it with TB and few beers/rums when he’s up my way before the ride.
