Final details
Those meeting me at McDonalds Blaxland be ready to leave at 6 am ( I dont think Blaxland Maccas opens before 7am because of the neighbours so dont plan breakfast there ) I am not stopping for anything once I leave Blaxland so make sure you have your jerry can full, ice for your esky etc before hand ok
We will have a riders briefing at 7.50 Mal and myself have somethings to explain before we ride away at 8am sharp this is important because of the distance and terrain we need to get away on time please
Please carry a spare front tube at least (will fit either end if required) and spare spark plug for your bike. Heavy duty tubes are recommended as it is rocky in spots or be prepared to supply beers to the sweeps or whoever helps you. Everybody will help everybody as is the OBT way so if you don’t have levers someone will but try and be as self supportive if you can.
There will be 3 riders in PINK colored vests are exempt from corner-man duties as they are the roving first aid / photographers.
Also we will run two sweeps that will be changed regularly and two leaders. Anyone with a hand held UHF will be encouraged to throw it in your camel back in case there is an extended delay
Remember you need to take whatever food you want to eat at the camp, saturday evening, sunday morning. Please try and pack light and buddy up with eskies etc where possible.
If you are sharing a jerry can check and make sure you and your fuel buddy have it sorted and one of you front with it full. If you are doing the fuel on your own again make sure it full at the start.
Remember you need to hand over the $20 bucks to the support drivers when you load your gear. They need that money to top your jerry can up after they meet us before the overnight stay.
