January 20, 2009 at 8:08 pm #118878I will do my best to stay off my bike this weekend so I can be in one piece for the ride.
January 20, 2009 at 10:39 pm #118889
AnonymousJust go easy Mick, seems like it’s harder for you to stay on your bike than it is to stay off it
January 21, 2009 at 12:37 am #118916What’s with TBAM? Slack, that’s what it is! Come on TBAM, get ya act together and front up!!
Hey TB, cash would be the go for this, yes? Yetholme will have eftpos but not too sure about other places.
Also, if we need fluoro vests I have several (Always at least 2-3 in the ute for work, but more in the office) and there is a fair first aid kit in there as well.
January 21, 2009 at 12:53 am #118935
AnonymousECKS I thought you were sorting TBAM out?
Cash would be easiest and save taking 20 EFTPOS transactiosn for the hotel stay. If everyone can have some cash on them it would be appreciated
Wouldn’t hurt to bring some fluoro vest down ECKS, we can sort out what will be needed on the day. I’ll take the first aid kit in the support vehicle if you like
January 21, 2009 at 2:59 am #118938Ok, I’ll throw in a few more vests then. Love the tax deduction (do you know how expensive those buggers are? Like $16 each!) My first aid kit is fair – really it has band aids and a plastic bag for severed limbs and that’s about it!
Nah, it isn’t quite that bad but if somebody has a better one it might be a good idea.
How’s phone reception out that neck of the woods? As per the rest of rural Australia I’d say it would be crap! Does the ute have a car phone kit (external antenna)?
January 21, 2009 at 5:22 am #118951
AnonymousI’ll be in TB’s car and no it doesn’t. Phone reception isn’t bad, either way, in the car we can get to it quick
January 21, 2009 at 7:22 am #118969OK Moto calm down and take big breaths  , firstly TBAM is under control dont worry about that and it isnt ECKS sorting it out  .
Two riders have first aid kids and there is also one in the car! But would be good if you carried an extra ECKS cheers for the thought.
Old Bulls have a heap of vests around 5 vests, we get them for nothing ha ha :woohoo: .
Eftpos at Capertee and Yetholme servo’s ECKS, there is also a Cashcard ATM at the Pub at Hillend but like Moto said cash is the go.
I am just finalising the details post that will be later this week regarding everything about the ride, including all the meeting points for the car, all the short cuts if we have dramas, escape routes for bush fires, types of petrol available, water holes, creeks, phone reception areas, maps for Moto to meet us if we need to pick a bike or rider up, everything  I hope!TB
January 21, 2009 at 11:34 am #118988A for effort here boys, Crash has family commitments on Sat, but knows how good the ride is, so he will park his ute with the other cars at the Zig Zag on Saturday night about 7pm and ride out to Hillend via the black top, no doubt dodging roos and bugger knows what else all to ride back on Sunday..
That’s how good this ride is, he has done parts of the ride and is keen as, he is Old Bull keen I reckon!
