Yes I reckon I would have loved to be there, except for the distance. Not used to so many k`s on the cycle in a weekend that`s for sure.
Gives me somethin to aim for though, maybe next year sometime I`ll be up to it, here`e hoping

As you may know. i lent moto the otb camera because i piked it. hence my ordinary phone camera phograpghy from last weekends saint Albans adventure. However I forgot to lend him the cord to plug it into his computer.

I’ll be at work most of today, Raceytracy will be kick’n around.

I’ll leave the cord in the mail box.

Here is the crossing that we used last week, I pushed Boulders bike across it with my foot on the exhaust bike to clutch start it, not today, kids wanted to go through it, Salina didnt, she won !

Thought it may have been a bit deep for the falcon, then remembered its company, would have made it.

Moto has asked about his crash, because he can’t remember it. So here it is.

    untitledSmall-2.jpg

We had been travelling side by side, it’s a wide dirt road pretty slippery, and it is to be noted that the DR tops out at 105 banging on the limiter and we weren’t going that fast.
It’s a long down hill very slight right hand bend, couldn’t even call it a bend really the road sort of does a slight bend and is of camber. Moto just got in a little hot, he locked the rear then the front, he needed to let of both brakes and commit hard and even gas on, I think he just looked at rock when he got in a little trouble and we know what happens when you ride a bike and look at something you just get sucked into it.

It was a sickening crash, he went in at about 60kph I reckon and hit the rock square on, and the rock was about the size of a medicine ball maybe even a bit bigger.
The bike cart wheeled and Moto lead the way, how he missed the tree is beyond me.

I watched it happen, I saw him flying head first through the bush with the bike right behind him, then he went behind the tree and I was locked up trying to stop. I ran into the bush, I found Moto lying on his back, his neck was bent and his head was against his chest, the bike was lying over his legs. I called out to him for about 20 odd seconds, he was sort of down in a little hole and I couldn’t get down to where he was straight away, I flagged the others down it was about 45 second s after the crash when he started spitting out bracken fern and he first words “ is my bike ok?” I reckon he had been knocked out for at least 45 seconds

We had to make sure he could feel everything legs wise before we moved the bike, he said he could so we got it up and helped him up, he wanted to get straight on the bike to continue the last 200 meters. He was complaining his thumb was sore and could feel bones rubbing etc. When we got to the cars he went white and had to lay down the rest we have covered else where, so there you have it Moto, as I remember and yes I was saying that was big a few times!

Also the Kato fired up straight away first push of the button, couldn’t believe it and it was unbroken, although the right hand bark busters had rotated 180 degrees and was facing backwards, never seen that before, must have hit the tree
