Notice given at 8.30am, had a new job sorted by 9.30am. Start Monday week but the 1st assignment will be in Melbourne fixing up there big ferris wheel thingy for a few weeks. Hopefully I will be back in time though, don’t count me out yet.

April 11, 2010 at 10:19 am #170600Hi Trailboss
I`m hoping to join the May 2010 ride. I have just bought a 2002 WRF 250 . I have little practice at starting the bugger as all my riding in the past has been done on two strokes or electric start trail bikes. I am in my mid fourties and keen to connect with enduro riders in my area.I live in Penrith and am dying to get back on the trail. By the looks of things the ride is more suited to bigger trail bikes. Please let me know if I am welcome to join. Cheers. Rod

Quote:Happy 2nd birthday rideI am using the now spare weekend in May 1st and 2nd to organise a ride from the Zig Zag railway to Sofala. After the weekends ride that Crash, Boulder and I did (Look here) I thought it would be rude to not share some of those trails and use some of the Hill End adventure tour trails (See Here) that people enjoyed so much
So the plan is to leave the the start location at 8am, (start location will be PM’ed at a later date to all riders) that is after you have put your full jery can, swag and food / esky into the support vehicle.
We will ride through some phat twins and singles to Capertee for a snack and fuel. From there through to Sofala, via a fuel dump for a splash and dash for those that require it.
We will hopefully camp on the Turon river close enough to Sofala that we can go to the pub if we want to or need to.Numbers for the ride will be limited it will cost you $10 to have your gear and fuel carried by the support vehicles that is not neg (what they choose to do with money if they dont want it etc is their business)
The next days ride will have some of day ones trails re ridden between Sofala and Capertee but after Capertee it will be mostly different trails.
We will refuel at Capertee on the way home and have lunch.
The weekend will be between 300 to 400kms
All these details and the rider list will be repeated in the lock events and dates forum
