Hey Luke good to have you on board.
did you go to upper Horton? There was a klx400 opposite us in the camp ground. You don’t see many green drz’s so I just thought I would ask. Hope to see you on a ride soon.
Boze wrote:Dam that’s not good. Hope ya heal quick and good.Chasing someone through the dust was not fun at all. Then you had those quick sharp gullies that came from no where. I’ll take it you found one of them.
I found the riding different from what I’m used to (Nundle) but was fun. The hard loop tested me but I got around with no help, well someone from the bushes held me bike so I could get on the other side and try again on the dry creek hill climb. Dam it was cut up on day 2. No offs just dropped it on the hill climbs so for that I’m happy. Had one attempt at the hill with the log across the bottom and got 3/4 of the way up, next time I’ll try 1st gear.
Watching back through my vids I rode like about 1.5hrs with no break, no wounder I had sore arms on Monday.

Hey boze yes the dust was very bad and the track got much worse day 2. I tried the log hill climb in first and ended up with the bike on the uphill side of a tree upside down.
nobody was around so I had to drag the bike side ways my YZ does not look so pretty anymore. The final technique was over the log in first click second and pin it. :woohoo: a little bit of clutch at the top to smooth out the roots. Having nobody around while attempting hill climbs is probably a bit silly but it does pressure you not to f it up. I am definitely getting myself a go pro or similar as I tried to film Charlie in the rocky creek with my iPhone but you get suck watching it and it makes crashes a bit too easy to perform. Lol
He won a CRF50. It was a raffle prize that you got a a free ticket for every person that went on the ride.
it has a full sticker kit on it and it looks great. All you had to do was be there with your tickets at the pub on the Saturday night festivities. It was very hard work waiting for the draw at 730. 😆 I thought I would answer for boony as he works for the gubberment and won’t be out of bed for a few hours.
Good to see you have got yourself a better bike mate. See that’s the power of dreams right there. 👿 you won’t now yourself in the crf.
great weekend dust was crap. Mates and beers even better. The guys at Thomas Lee and the local mob put on a great event. Well done! Also sorry Matt for drenching you pep style. It was boonys go pro that made me do it but turns out it was off.
cant wait for North Star !!

In readiness for upper Horton I changed the oil and air filters in the YZ , crf 70 and ttr 50 the mower also got in the road and Ended up with full synthetic oil. Probably not recommended ??? But I won’t lose too much sleep. I thought the 70 had a slow leak in the rear tyre but on removal of the tube it was nowhere to be seen  but after re fitting a fast leak then appeared wtf talk about bad timing. 😆 well at least I then had the perfect opportunity to fit hd tubes. Once again thanks for Matt for opening the shop to get the job done
I tightened the chains on the bikes and they are ready a week early. That’s a change.

Gibbit wrote:Planning is well under way for this years ride. There will be a few changes this year with only one fuel stop to try to stop confusion and we will be going with Dalby Moto’s insurance rather that through MA.Sign up has been a huge problem over the last few years with riders having to wait in line for up to 2 hours. Goondiwindi MotorCross Club will be running that this year and we intend to have at least four lines which will cater for both sign up and payment (NO MORE LINING UP TWICE). They were talking about only having one cash register for all four lines, but I have told them we won’t do it unless we have one for each line of riders (payment is what was so slow last year).
The local CWA ladies will be doing the breakfast and lunch catering this year. It is their first year catering for the trailride so hopefully it runs smoothly.
Should be another good ride this year. I hope to see you all there.
Cost will be (including Dalby Moto Licence)
$65 opens
$35 novice (Novice will be allowed to ride the open track without having to upgrade to open)
$25 Pee Wee__________________
Lots of people who did not normally drink much were forced to stand in line at the club and consume unhealthy amounts of grog. It was terrible!!! I would not put up with that again. :silly: If on the other hand we were forced to stand on line and listen to one particular gentleman on the PA system that would be another story. He he :side:
