The black plastics look a bit crap i know but Mat from bikes and bits is looking at a sticker kit for the shop from Serco ??? I think. Would be good to see what it is like. That is what it needs. The plastics were only ever put on it so the originals stay like they are when new. Boony the only reason you can do those sliding turns is because the rear tire is a slick!! And its not getting a new tire until I can’t get up a hill that the Drz’s are climbing!! :P

    Go the Blue

and then u could come to my place for a ride and i could have a try

The WR beat the Crf to the punch of blowing up Bob. After now getting used to electric start I will not look at a bike without it. I still kick start my Crf but it is where you are in a prick of a spot where it it is worth its weight in gold!! So no WR250 2T for me even if it is free!! Sorry Mr blue.

Yep the 1998 six days special designation YZ250Wr was the last of the TRUE 2T WRs that yamaha made, it was based upon a mix of the 1998 YZ250 and the previous year models WR250. A true Wide ratio gearbox and compliant rear suspension made it more enduro oriented.

I have an article here in my archives about them as I damn near boought one in Mint condition a few years back from up new england way, which leads me to think one of the dealers up there sold many of them( of not so many made, again I think it was Bert Flood that got them ADR’d) or had a hand in building the custom bikes. They seem to command good $$$ even now.

A good bike but front end was a bit slow on the steer from memory of the YZs of that time, not a carver like an RM or CR, but very stable at speed.

Those engines typical of the MX 2Ts of the late ninties put out close to 50hp, so in the power stakes definitely no slouch.

Is this cells Boony speaks of a tight mongrel technical S/Tif it is perfect hunting ground for a 2T.

Kokoda is what STM would call “0” trail or no trail. Lantana man will be seen there the next time I go there with a motorised hedging machine. You know the trails where the vines catch between your nose and the chin guard and rip you a new one !!! Seriously suck ass. Only the happy hunting ground of a bush fire! 👿

No Hondas or Tenere`s this year :P B)

Yes that would have been some feat for a kato to go 1200 ks without a breakdown.
:woohoo: :silly: Getting home would have doubled the chances of not making it home in one piece. :P

Incredible standing wheelie control :cheer: Interesting to watch the rear suspension does not really move that much under pretty harsh loading and unloading. Not much of a suspension specialist but he must have the high speed compression and or compression and rebound dampening set pretty hard. B)

He thought he was getting a crf 50 and he had sat on one and everything. But when I went to buy it they had sold out just before christmas. Oh well like father like son my fist bike was a red one ….. A yamaha mx 100 go figure.

It took a long time and a lot of work by a lot of peopl but riders of NSW finally got a change for the better.
This shows that the MAA has finally grown a spine and is standing up for oru rights in NSW.
This was a long hard struggle and a lot of people put in a lot of work indeed.
The MCC is going to maintain the work initiated at the CTP Protest rally in Aug 2010.
We have regular meetings with the MAA to work out the issues.
Get back to me with feedback and or input.
We have on the agenda things like single seat rego and other items.
As I stated in the article, it is a good start but we are still getting ripped off.
    Merry Christmas to all.

Yes single seat rego why can QLD have it but we can’t . 2 up sucks on any bike but especially an enduro machine . It’s hard to hurt a pillion if they are not on the bike. Seems obvious but I suppose the people that are hurting more of the third parties (as pillions)are on bigger road bikes etc. They wont like paying more.

Obviously this thread has some link to Adventure Riding as I have never heard the lead up to it. But Boll has now that he has gone to the dark side. A beer is not a beer if it is non alcoholic. It is soft drink and you can not be a man if you drink it so no ‘Fully Loaded Can’ for you. You can only have a cheese burger in a can. ! The alcoholic one that will come out soon might be one to look out for. :) Interesting product. :)

The Armidale Motorcycle Club has just released their dates for the pony x. The first one at Banneweera Uralla is on the 1st of April and no that is not a joke!!!!
They also run the last and best round at Upper Horton which is on the 27th of October. If you are only going to go in one round then make it that one. :)

I like how the word champ gets hung out to dry by the little guy when he goes to high five him on the pushbike. Then the little dude does his own version of a wheelie going in circles. I think there is a new world champion in the making there. B) Funny stuff but the riding by that old dude was pretty good too.
