The guy who bought this bike obviously stacked it today, there is broken bones(wrist), torn ligaments and dislocations. Wonder if it will be up for sale soon to pay for the OP. There would not be much forgiveness in this beast.

I’m not a big fan of marinated steaks and you are right Cory. Buuut If you do cook anything that is marinated put some baking paper under it and the marinade will not burn as easily and also when you are finished the mess is contained to the paper and you just throw it out. It does not work on the grill and If you have very high temps and lots of fat the paper will burn. This is the best thing for cooking marrinated chicken kebab sticks as it is hard to cook the chicken properly before the marinade burns. You can use thos pan liner products that do the same thing but this does not require cleaning as is cheap. Best bloke advice ever. B)

Aaron must have parked his 450 too close to my 650! Now, what am I going to do with a 250? Yeehaa

    Crash

Crash my 450 is actually a 250! You now have the best bike ever!!
That was the other funny thing that happened on Sunday. We met up with another group of riders that were having bike troubles. I decided to open my big mouth and ask was it a KTM  :P He then quickly replied “No it is a CRF 250X ” I don’t know if he saw me coming but it sure shut me up  So many funny memories now sadly lost with those neurons now obliterated by alcohol !!! I think I had a great weekend!

First of all thanks to Boony for lending me the Great Wall at very short notice to take the family to the ride. Thanks for posting the pics and videos up they are great. Yes Widow Maker was very slippery Eags. The way Murph went up there on one of the most powerful bikes is beyond belief. Just a lesson to us all that we could take a leaf out of his book on clutch control. The singles were fantastic seeing the amount of rain they had had. There was even some dust on the ridges on Sunday. How great is Darlington Beach Holliday Park. The Villas were huge and close together so some bench racing on any afternoon was only a few steps away. Can’t say enough great stuff about the setting. The 2 cornerman system was great to get to know other old bulls. The Sunday ride was my favorite as it was starting to dry out and grip was returning to the clay sections. I started off poorly and Nickj and Bigger Al got to help me out after I had overshot a corner while trying to keep pace with Crash on the BRP. I had stopped in time to avoid the two large trees but the trees had set a booby trap with two slippery branches that made me drop the bike twice trying to get it out. At least the sweeps got to have a laugh. Not long after I was following factory phil ( can you see a pattern here) and I launched myself off a hill and got to have my own murphsburg trying to get out of the gully. LC4 I think just out of view but still knew I had stuffed up. Because of the rain putting the skids on work we hung around with Boony and his family and we had a ball. Just a few highlights on the most fun weekend ever.

What a great weekend, arrived about an hour before departure time for fridays ride with rain falling and Moto waiting at the cabin greeting us with the news that his trip up from Newcastle had all been in the pouring rain  so we knew it was going to be pretty wet in the forest :( :( .
Riding up to the servo to meet Scotty and the rest of the group, which turned out to be around 25? we then set out into the forest :woohoo: conditions were awesome ;) :woohoo: creeks were flowing nicely and the group all moved around an excellent loop of about 30ks with big grins on our faces
By the time we got to the widowmaker it was hard to see the top as it shrouder in mist  making it look more intimidating than usual
On to some more great tracks on outr way back to the caravan park for a few  beers then off to the Amble for food and more beer 😆

Saturdays ride turned out to be in one group of 46 :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: and Scott once again led us on an excellent loop of around 75ks which had something for everyone and virtually no problems in the whole group :P :P
I thought it was an excellent effort to take one of the biggest groups of riders i’v ever been in , around the tracks that we rode was awesome ;) ;)
Many thanks to Scott and Nickj for their organizing and Chris T and Nick for sweeping

Missed Murph looping the 500 up the beach :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

And finally well done to my apprentice Damo for being the only one to get up the widowmaker on saturday, just shows all the tuition is paying off

Was great to meet everyone also ;)

    d

I have had a lot to drink but didn’t Murph get up the widow maker on Saturday ?

You could put a 3 inch exhaust with a dump pipe. Cut an inch off the springs out a unit sticker on the rear window and some 19’s. That would be different. my friend has one of those vans but without the windows. He put alloy checker plate on the inside to stop the dints from crap falling over from the inside. He also has a bed that folds down from the wall. I think those windows would stop most of that though. Gee I was a great help

Funny stuff Nick. My Grand father told us a story of a Komatsu Dozer back in the day with the word ‘ROCK” in cast written on the door to show where the lock on the door was . I suppose that was how they said it. ;)

Would be interesting to compare your lap times to see if it is actually quicker or just feels faster. I rode one two years back at north star and it made my Y Z 450 feel soft in the suspension. And the throttle felt like it had only 2 positions. I hope you are fit if you want to use it for pony x duties. :)

My christmas ride started when everyone else was just about to hit the sack. When I rolled up to the caravan park boony and Bollocks were sneaking off to the cabins. They had aparantly tried to mix Dudes rocket fuel with copious amounts of beer and were a little the worse for wear.
I was late to the ring of knowledge but there were the usual die hards still hanging around so they let me catch up till stumps. ;)
We started the next morning with a good mixed grill breaky and then went and put up the marque. I was sweating and had arm pump from nocking the tent pegs into straight granite
We soon got going and the ride was flowing really well till we got off the bitumin 😆
The steps and the creek crossing drew things out a bit but the two man corner man worked a treat as I got to meet another great bloke in kivin who was piloting a DRZ 400. ;)
Damo and I soon began racing and I almost lost it when I jumped an erosion bank and almost crossrutted where someone had tried to bog a 4X4. We soon stopped to fix some lecky probs on a bike but once again it was a chance to meet more great blokes B) .
We headed to the top of “sweet mother of Jesus” and the guys got down very well. The dust was minimal and the traction was awsome. :cheer: This was the first time I had ridden the new CRF250X at Nundle and it was faultless and I was having a ball. :cheer: We soon got to the singles they were fantastic untill I found that the logs had been coated in oil and tasted some dirt but no one was there so I could have just made that up:laugh: We cruised allong heading to the top of parachute but a gasser died and we had to change our plans and take the road to the patch for lunch. This worked out well as I got to have another go at the erosion mounds on the way back. ;) Great decision under duress Boon and that way we did not burn our bridges at the Berry Patch. ;)
The lunch was great as usual and we all had a great feed. From there I tasted a bit of sweeping duties and Boonys sense of humor made it fun.
Murph got a flat and Boony and I stopped to help out by talking and and sometimes we even asked questions. Well done Lotsa and Murph ;)
The rain was trying dampen the mood but only managed to supress dust. A few of the guys were relly in need of a beer so they headed off on the gravel home. Eveyone was having a ball on the slippery tracks but soon fuel levels got a little low and we had to head for the Beer ourselves. More later…
