EAGLE`02 wrote:The silly sidestand has always been a worry since I got the 690 (too long) resulting in an almost upright dismounted bike.
I had to be real careful where I parked it, especially on uneven ground which is a pain in the rear :blush:SO today I hacked 15mm off the end & re welded to baseplate back on.
Easy job really (if you have a welder at home)
That`s how boring my day was actually, sitting around most of the day resting the ankle (RDO`s are grouse sometimes) No kids or missus here all day either,,, just me, the dog & two budgies
I missed this post sorry eags  You should have swaped yours with the one off Micks BRP it almost falls over on the low side. I think he has put a 2 inch lift kit under it or something????
I did not know you could run without a rimlock at all?? I was suprised to read that eags was runing without one. I have had them come apart and tear holes in the tube.
When it failed I stole one out of the YZ at about one in the morning so I could go on a ride. Thanks for the info mal

Aaron Sounds to me like your making up excuses for your behaviour in advance, you planning on getting your crack checked again?
I don’t care if I have to make up excuses just as long as you and snow are not making them up. Like the traffic cone had to with his pace at the front. The pressure is all on you. Ha. Wouldn’t it be embarrassing if the sweep caught you
I got sent a photo today of a bike that a guy that I have worked with bought. As soon as I saw it I recognized it from this thread. I remembered that I had commented on the bike when White rocket first brought it to our attention. At lest I will see how it performs. I will not get to ride it but I would like to put it up agaist my YZ 450 to see how it compares in a straight line. Half of the links do not work as it is now sold.

Boony wrote:bumpThe local police have been met with and informed of this ride. They have no drama with it and are very supportive but they have asked for the following to be adhered to.
1. All bikes be regoed, he will check them.
2, The groups leave and enter town from the quickest route, he doesnt want idiot pulling wheelies up and down the streets and he has asked if we can keep the bikes away from the middle of town,( this is easy to do).The are happy with our route and he may even join us on a ride,( he can pedal real good)It is now being asked of you the riders that we all have consideration for the locals, and no-one digs up the carravan park when we are on the bikes. Please treat it as your own home.
Its only a few easy requests that will assist with us being able to continue to have large gatherings at Nundle
Failure to adhere with these simple requests will result it you being asked to leave
UUUMMM stupid question no. 23. Do our bikes need to pass a rego inspection????? as my rear indicators fell off just before Ken checked it   I have been on a couple of these rides and less than one quarter of the bikes would be really roadworthy. Oh and I have a mate who has a 150cc chinwah pit bike it isnt regoed can he meet us up in the forest ??? :pinch:
Stay out of this one tractor driver   You know that there is no comparing when it comes to CRF’s and DRZ’s :pinch: . You know who I am talking about. :silly: Will be good to see how the new WR compares to the CRF when it turns up. Aido will be a great one to do a write up on weather the wait was worth it.
I can’t believe you bought a Honda …I would never do that   Apart from the crap air filter access I could not fault mine

Good call boony. But seeing you are running the ride we will make it your job to move the bikers on from the pub. It is about time someone stood up to those louts. They are there almost every weekend making the place look untidy
micknmeld wrote:OK guys I am in two minds, I dunno whether to tow the XR over and go single trailing or do the ADV ride from Wauchope. I have been offered a ride on a bike that is almost too good to refuse to go on the ADV ride. I will make a decision in the next day or so.Must be a good bike to sway you to the less exciting side Mick ??? Would need to be Ktm 950 or similar to even think about putting the leathers on :p

(sorry it is never a race is it just a heap of people with twitchy wrists and in a hurry)couple of tips for you and your fearless offroad leader
He is leading ,
if he is too slow pass him
if he forgets to put a cornerman down rock on (Aaron)
If he falls off ride over him
if he is too gay and whinging about ailments send him home
If u see a goat follow it , it might know where its going
its not a race ?Very funny Bob.
I have learned my lesson next time I come to a corner and there is no one there I am staying put. Regardless if the traffic cone is running the ride at a snails pace.
I have been given a doctors certificate so that I can sit this ride out. For the sake of my hearing. :laugh:Spoke to Buzz last night. Organized to bring the Wilde Marque down and set up on Buzz’s powered sites next to Bikes and Bits one. It is about 6 meters by 6meters and has 4 side walls that can be put on if you want it closed in. Anyone paying to stay on Buzz’s powered site is welcome to stay in it as long as you help me pull it down.
Did your klx drop a valve eags ? When this thing died it sounded like when you stand on a chicken and pull its head off with your bare hand :o. Not really but it didn’t sound pretty

Its blue, injected, has a power tuner available and looks very cool. Imagine soon you will be in this position…….. You are on a ride with your slightly used steel frame KTM and some prick rolls his/her brand new WR off the trailer . You are going to be so jealous. You know it. So don’t go there. :silly: [/quoteIs this how you are going to feel next year Aaron?
By the way, thanks for buying the 2 fiddy. Your saying has come through again and I only have to wait 5 months for the fuel injected wr :woohoo: :woohoo:Buzz
Remember I wanted to get a 250. And Yamaha willl thinkin bout bringing it up to spec with the 450 some time in 2017. The interim WR 250 sounds like the go aido
