Thanks Bruce I did end up putting on new YZ guard but from a similar vintage to the 01 And drilling and bolting on some small flexible indicators. I will post up a photo to help anyone else thinking about it. The original is much heavier and not as good at handling the abuse I throw at it.

It sound like a problem with the fuel injector, make sure you have cleaned both tanks and that all the plugs have snapped in properly. Dont forget its not like those jap peices of crap where you dont have to do any maintainance, its like the differance between a ferrari and a holden.
Just be patient, also go onto the unofficial berg site it has all the mechanical info you could ask for.Iam having trouble with the Torque limiter, but thats an easy fix under warranty even though my bikes warranty ran out in 2009 they still honour those soughts of things.
Good luck and if you need any help just let me knowCheers Gotchya
Aido to help pass the time while you are being Patient ride your WR and the time will fly.
Thanks for the Video . Seems I have been going about it all wrong no wonder it takes me an hour to replace a tire. The rim lock is still the hardest thing though as I don’t know where to put it when I am putting the new tire back on ?? Will have to get some more levers as more looks better. Just got some motion pro ones and was the best investment ever. 10 times better than my largest flat screwdriver.

I like the catch phrase “FOR A MANS RIDE … HONDA”
Remember guys when you ride on the street, don’t ride fast. Far out now we have to go and recall all those CBR’s as I don’t think they are walking the company line. :laugh:Drz too unreliable and going to look for a WR…… I must write that down as I have never heard it before, and probably will never again  The only things I have ever seen to let the trusty Doctor Zee down have been electrical problems. I Suppose you could call a spark plug an electrical prob  Felt like I was there STM Good report Cannot wait to get back over there again :cheer: :cheer:
Sounds like a ‘Technical Nock Out’ Nick well done. That top bit with those ledges is a bitch and while its not scary like the bottom is much harder in my opinion as you have to turn the bike left while the front wheel is tying to go over your helmet.
I would bet noise close to populated areas would be affecting our sport more than the the erosion/ environment damaging side. Look what the noise issue did to Jet ski’s in Australia. The manufacturers were aware of this and quietened them down. I rode Steves WR450 it had some after market slip on and it was much louder/annoying than my YZ 450 with the stock pipe. Have a look around on your next ride and see the percentage of bikes that have loud aftermarket pipes. Just because you are doing the right thing with having a rego’d bike does not mean you aren’t pissing someone off. If you touch the exhaust it isn’t really roadworthy anyway. The third party insurance is the only real issue I can see with a MX bike in the bush. As far as safety is concerned apart from increased visibility of a front light a MX bike is just as safe to ride on single trails etc. The current RMX 450 fixes that issue though.
Nickj why don’t you silence the critics and make your first ascent on the tenere’ the engine will be fine with all that plastic around it, if it cartwheels down the hill. C’mon beat TB to the chase. Just give it a quick try on that hill behind your house you were telling me about first. That way you can rid the bike of any excess weight first (like mirrors etc) so it will fly up Widow maker!! You will also stop all jokes re ADV bikes to boot. Take one for the team mate!!! Just make sure you get plenty of Adventure Moto stickers on it so they might be sympathetic when you front up to get replacement parts.
Looks like FMX for rally bikes. Well they jump blindly off dunes all day so would be used to a bit of air time. Why not throw in a can can.
Cool pic.
Strucky I’m pleased to hear that is not your Aerodyne as the bloke who drives that is not riding bikes after hours he’s washing/polishing that truck. Hope your having a great day. At least you (hopefully) will have the looooong weekend to get over a birthday bender
That’s who it was!!! I thought I knew you from somewhere you yellow, blue, red and white maggot:woohoo: ……. Who are you again? Remember the ADV bikes would have to go off road to get to the campsite to roost me. I will probably be safe :silly:
