Just remembered another example of incredible engineering that the government is obviously keeping unde wraps. The road tire that sprouts knobs on tom cruisEs speed tripple in the documentary mission impossible 2.

Not an entirely unexpected response TB yes it would be worth it if you were never going to ride it. I think that it would be worth the 15 to have a ride on the cr in motard guise what fun. The police would understand that it is impossible to keep the front wheel on the ground. A gassit type responce

You’re a genius Nick. Just finished bike prep for tomorrows foray into the wet sloppy hills of Nundle. Found a very loose conection on the positive terminal of the fuse box. Simple fix but not something I would have looked for without prompting.

I think I owe you a beer for every time the button works after a stall on the side of a slippery hill. I just hope I can afford it as other old bulls will be there to count them.

Yes I will be there to count the beers for you nick it will be very wet and slippery might see a carton coming your way  Aaron.

    CR500e 2nd Hand example
Good condition 500 e for 10.5 That’s $1.50 per k to buy the new one and get it to this state. The guy states. ” I don’t remember if I have ever flipped it!” Like you would forget that unless you ended up in hospital with amnesia! Hope the link worked.

The tape is only on there so you can get the roll back into the pipe. You would not think may adhesives would handle the high temperatures. So the only reason for a special tape would be so that it did not melt and put crap all through the packing. I did Charlies TTR 50 but did not use any tape. I re packed the YZ pipe I fitted to the WR and just used plane old sticky tape.I replaced that one with the stock one but it seemed to work well. Some new diesels have a particulate filter to reduce emissions but I doubt the size of the can on an 300 EXE would effect that much. Obviously some oil smoke would be absorbed but you would have to replace it every ride to catch it all. Will be behind the smoky old beast this weekend so I WILL tell you if it is excesive. If it is running rich there it will be interesting to see how it goes over here in the hills. My bilke would run alright in tamworth but at Nundle it would play up a treat.

What is the verdict with the cap of riders. I know people will pull out but we are looking at filling a Mini bus. If we end up with 6 or 7 that would be great. Just don’t want to step on any toes. Tell us what the Tamworth group size can be and we will work on ensuring we stick to it. We are going to ask people to put a deposit very early to weed out any talkers! Its that far away we have to lock it in Eddy!I am also able to sleep in swag or under tree etc! So basically we have one more that I know of that is not on the list. Also just a question. How cold could it be?

Well this might be a crap subject but I am using it to learn how to post videos on here. That way I might find some ones worth watching so you can stop your bitching  Menace has been teaching me although he does not know it as I used his how to in the Tech help area.

One of the guys Shane J rides with had a 300 exe cold seize on the bitumen after a flat out run. Not funny. Could you do the plug out and check the color to see if it is running rich or lean. Being a 2T plug access is pretty good. If I am not mistaken, you can run the bike in different rev ranges and clutch and stop the bike so you can see how it is running when under load flat out etc. When I went to a Moto GP once the 125’s would do that after every practice. Then they would have to push them back to the pits. But that was when Valentino was on a 125 so a long time ago. You probably would not know him but you would have if you had gone on the Coffs Coast ride. This is the Tech section so I hope there is some correct info in there. Could be the blind leading the vision impaired.

Boony you have exposed my poor form as I have a putter in my hand and really should be chipping. Would love to eat some breakfast but I don’t want to see it again. Yes I’m regretting it now. I probably wont be able to make the Mexico ride as I have a hangover that will probably last till then. :)

Just to like to thank Boony for organising this golf event. Next time you are on a ride and you are thinking he is a bit of a gumby you might be right :laugh:But do not take him on on the golf scene unless you are a bit confident because he could kick you but. Yes he is not tooootalllyyy useless. Boony turned up at the clubhouse looking well sort of normal but soon we became aware that he had applied Deep Heat to his body because he said he was stiff! There are other ways to deal with that mate  Anyway while we we out doing such g*y activities as playing golf you can rest assured that bikes were never far from our mind. One of the downers for the day was that no motorized carts were allowed as the course was deemed too wet. Probably a good thing as we would have been kicked off for sure for jumping the cart or something stupid. Yes we had to walk the whole 18 holes and we started and finished a long way from the club house. It was probably a good thing though as the higher metabolic rate we were maintaining stopped me from becoming too intoxicated to breathe  The “track” was moist and there were a few water hazards that blocked our path and in normal old bulls style speed was the answer. The biggest issue with golfing is that if you pull a buggy through a puddle the spray comes forward on you! Lucky there was not too many officials on the course as I had to do a few holes with my shoes off to dry my feet out! Thanks to all for getting my vehicle and I back home safely as I was in no state to drive. Yeah it was not a day on the bike but we all had fun. It did give us time to work on our Mexico plans and days for the kids to ride the bikes. Since getting home I have already had an alcohol induced sleep and revving for not helping to get the kids to bed but it was all worth it. I have a good vid that Boony is going to teach me to put on here later. Sorry to all for having to endure our boring story of alcoholism and a small white ball. All I can say is bring on more days like this when we cant be on the bikes as it was certainly fun.
