I will never go to bed early again. My sleep will be forever unsettled because I found out that you were roaming around my camp site late at night looking to feed my furry possum. Will be sleeping with one eye open from now on.! Or hooking into the red bulls until I know you are asleep!

Don’t worry yourself about the number of cans Snow we will take care of that. You just keep your mind on your job of being the designated driver. One more word out of you and I will award a penalty. :silly:

I think some sort of bus would be the mode of transport boon. Sounds like a road trip to me. We have a while to organize it it seems. Its the least we could do to pay back Menace for traveling up to ride Nundle. Payback is a bitch it seems.

Thanks Ollie ;) Just as I had suspected. Will look out for some. I payed about $20 for aprox 8 Yamaha style bolts that I now know I can buy in a pack heaps cheaper. They might catch me once but they won’t do it again.

I think the area that needs looking at is the CTP/Greenslip,as this covers
any claims made by anyone injured in an accident other than the driver/rider
    deemed at fault.
Correct me if i’m wrong, but 99% of dirt bikes don’t have the provisions for pillions
and there fore injuries to anyone but the rider in an accident are virtually non existant,
thus no claims. Maybe a no claim bonus system would make it cheaper and fairer as with full comp insurance
I’m with QBE and as Mickmeld said my CTP is $319-00 and my rego is $106-00.
Because NSW de-regulated CTP this just made it an insurers market in my opinion.
Where as in QLD I believe, the govt. still sets the price as it’s paid in with the rego
    to the DMV

    Just my opinion

I didn’t know about the at fault bit. So If I get injured on my bike from a vehicle doing the wrong thing(That would never happen )That means that the third party would be me???

Shims you buy after you check the clearance $15 ea,vernier $25+, tension wrench $100+ or borrow your mates. Timing very easy if you can read engrish plenty of how to video’s on youtube and the satisfaction of doing it yourself: cost to have it done in a shop $250+ I guess its all about priorities ;) just be methodical and take plenty of pictures for backup ;) good luck with it mate

Just Looking back through some old posts. Found this one and it reminded me about the cost of shims. Can you buy them in bulk like those assortment packs? If they were $15 dollars each you would need a security team to get them from the shop to home. I know they are made to tight tolerances and must be made out of hardened steel but why do they cost so much. You can see the value in bearings and the like but a tiny disk? The machine that makes them would probably punch out thousands of them in an hour. Hardly labor intensive.

Got to admit the system they have available to clamp the guard to the inside seems like an after thought. I have seen items that people have welded up and they look heaps better and stronger not like a mechano set.The home made ones are a bolt welded to a plate that bolts to your fork clamp. You get what you pay for I guess. It is not very often these days that a back yard solution is better than what a manufacturer comes up with. But cost and being able to adapt to different bars, bikes is obviously the issue. The bar weights look good and purpose built. Good to hear the heart warming story TB. Customer service at its best leading to advertising, and maybe better products everyone goes away happy. ;)

Do they do anything to your bike to signify that it has single seat rego. I thought they used to put a note on your compliance plate back in the 90’s. To me I think this is where the key is to making it cheaper. STM talks about his situation being perfect with the full rego. After riding there I saw that that was spot on. If we only rode locally and did not go away on these rides rec rego would work fine. Every time I go riding something happens to the Indicators or something else . Would be nice not to have to worry about that but…. I will still go the full rego thing even though I hardly ride it on the road. From what TB said about the green slip it will be stuff all cheaper, so will probably fail. I would not go to the trouble to rec rego my YZ even if it would cost?300. Cant imagine the great unwashed going to the trouble if I wouldn’t.

Roy your description sounds spot on to me. The start has two options the left is easier and the right is well….you had better talk talk to Boony about the right :silly: It has an angled root that spears you off in the down on your but direction. The start is the only real hard bit but if its wet then the last bit is slippery and the old saying momentum is your friend. Except when the rocks send you into a tree then momentum hurts  .

Would be great to see the Narabriians on this one. Surely we could do a bit later start if it means these guys will be there???! Then we will have to pay you back with a trip to DirtbikeTerritory or Courallie. The Tamworthians need to go to Courallie to see where all the Rocks in the world come from.
