Thanks guys, for responsibly representing OBT.(Barry said you old bastards were all in bed by 8.30pm anyhow  )Yes the old bastards were in bed by 830, But us younger old bulls (Nick Dude and I)were still charging on till 1130 around the fire. Well worth the extra tiredeess the next day!
Maybe Shirley and Barry were so happy because they hadn’t been into the showers yet!! Bloody water every where, they must have had a water fight!!Thanks to everyone who helped make the weekend bloody fantastic. After that one i would have no hesitation in traveling even further for similar events in the future. Thanks Puddles for taking us on a great ride on our first day. Highlites were the first section of single with beautiful ruts in the corners that meant your front wheel was like it was on rails!! And that power hill climb with an exellent view of a dam that seemed to go on forever.I also got to watch first hand the front wheel swallowing holes that engulfed dahmus and robs front wheels. Thanks goes out to Dahmus because i was just about to go where he did so after seeing him arse up I backed out! Rob did the best sumersault i had seen since the last olimpics! Those Saturday loops were mad and very trying at times. The track marking was great. Why was that guy on that hill with the camera he put me off on the first lap and made me fall off!!! That is my excuse but i doubt i am foolng any one.My only real incident occured after TB accused me of taking the easy route on the second last lap on the first loop. Both mick and TB got in front of me on one of the more open sections. I thought I will show him!!! Just after he let me around there was an erosion bank there and i hit it a little quicker than i would have liked (fourth gear 3/4 throttle)and i nearly doubled the two bumps!! More ass than class. Mick did not take long to come up to me and report that he had witnessed the moment so i knew that they had realised that i was not Robbie Maddison!! At least I now know what the old wr426 could do quite easily in the hands of a good rider, it soaked it up beautifully.
I must have had a great night on friday because i threw a ten dollar note into the fire because i thought it was my temporary membership at the RSL!! It was very fortunate that i had consumed so much anesthetic because it didnt hurt at all when i reached into the fire to retrieve it! I also used that note to pay for my lunch on the saturday loop. So whoever ended up with it sorry but the evil grog made me do it! Hope to ride with you all soon What a Blast! Finally got the old bike sorted hope it goes the distance see you all over ther tomorrow drive safe. look forwaard to a beer and a blat with you all.
Hey its been bloody cold over here and our brains are freezing up and the two neurones we have left are too cold to operate. So you will have to forgive us over the range folk!
In hindsight thursday night is better because tomorrow we can pay out on boony about having “One more sleep!”

I Bloody hope not Boony my bike is still in the process of getting the rego tic and i will be pushing for time as it is so please dont try to hurry things along yet you can do that when we are on our way home after the ride! Or when you are holding me up un the ride  Are the two brothers coming allong for the ride or wont they fit in!!
Thanks for that explanation STM I broke a spoke on the bike a while ago and will use that info to check the wheel when i replace the tire for next weekend.
I have acquired a factory ride for the event! It was set up for Australian conditions by the yamaha team. Exactly how it came out of the factory hope that setup works!
Sounds like the riding will be great, moisture wise. How am i going to keep my mind on the job all next week before we go! At least it will be a short week cause we will be going early friday! Bring on next week. Is there much rock over there i usually run higher pressures than that. I have ridden Woolgoolga is it like that.
Hey Whanny that would be a good job for you. you could do some of those crowd pleasing moves to keep the whole neighborhood entertained!
One of my friends held the record for the fastest run as a postie on a particular run.He was a sick puppie though. Dont know if people would like you trying to climb the rock garden on the way to the next mail box.But it would be fun until your boss got that phone call!Hope you get the job you would be living the dream.

New job has me travelling all the time and the bike is just sitting around too much so it might as well go.Well that just sounds sad! I dont look forward to the day when i say the bike has been sitting around too much so i might as well sell it! Sounds like the end of the world to me. I say get a different job and keep the bike! I hope you have another one that i dont know about, or i might go and hang myself in pity for you!Looks like a DRZ in your avatar that would make me feel better. Message to all .. No more depressing posts! There was a dark time in my life between RGV250 and WR426 when i had forgotten what we were put on this earth to do. Live to ride (no Harley pun intended) or if you cant ride much let it invade your mind most of the time so that you are virtually useless between your fixes of going for a blat.Golf is not an option! Sorry but i am now a golf orphan. Dont give up on life ride a bike. Please tell me he has a DRZ so i can take it all back. Actually no i wont.
Sorry Folks Bollocks has just haggled his heart out and bought the lot so thanks Old Bulls.
Will sell you the blue set off my wr and i will put the white ones on it. But I spend a fair bit of time on my but looking at the bike trying unsuccessfully to ride itself.
Thanks for the photos guys! I have spent the last hour looking at those XT’s and that very interesting HL500 It looks very short I bet its hard to keep that front wheel down.
