Maybe the Simpson again…..just to keep my hand in
lotsa
Thats a shame Lotsa, i was watching with interest. Still, nothing wrong with a trip to the Simpson.
The Canning is on my bucket list but a few years of experience away yet i think?
You coming on the next 2 day?
April 20, 2013 at 10:00 am in reply to: Tugboat ride, 3 Teneres to toast a Legend Birdsville 2013 #239991Well with the weather as crap as it was today and the backyard practically filling up like a swimming pool :S :pinch: i thought i would take the opportunity to do the final preperations to my bike for the up coming Cameron Corner ride.
This is the finished product:

I hardwired the GPS:

Went over every nut and bolt on the bike and added a little loctite where required.
I decided to use the factory top rack because it is totally waterproof, expandable and lockable.

All i have to do now is suit up and head for the hills…that is Gloucester for the first night where i meet up with Strucky :woohoo: .
The only bad thing is that now i am all packed, the next 2 weeks of waiting is going to be a shocker! :pinch:

Don’t worry ACE he did that to me on the first 2 day’er as well. Untill I figured it out!!!
Thats right Wiggster…….we’ve got your number
O Man I cant wait for this ride!! How many sleeps??
BTW Ace I’m planning on bringing my Latte machine for this one. As for tire choice I was probably going to put a Karoo on the back, but I might run something a little more aggressive on the front….but not sure what and if it will happen, just a thought at this time.

So there are other beemers out there then? This one is set to be a real corker. I look forward to seeing the big out for a play.(please take that in the way it was intended)
You bet Wiggy
VB totaller more like it
I have just put a new set of Metzler Karoo 2’s for Cameron Corner. Really happy with the front and have run them before. Can’t comment on the rear yet but for the record I can’t fault the Kenda big block I just took off…really good mileage and good in sand and gravel. I would definitely use them again.
not much help but I am still new to the bigger bikes and tyres for them.
Wiggy, and all that time I thought you didn’t have GPS…thats why I always rode in front of you(and got you lost)

Good photo stm. Maybe we should start a thread with some of our early days of riding photos. A memory lane thread?? I reckon we could get a good laugh out of that
