Just got pipped at the post on Ebay.
Can anyone help? Trying to get one before the ride on Friday or it’s going to have to be retail.
I can sort the overnight freight out.
Cheers,
Good one Gibbit, nice set-up mate.
Ride safe but most of all…have fun!
 :silly:  :silly
Awesome.
That started the day with a smile
and there it is.
For sure Rocket. Much better all around.
I was thinking the other day, why there is a need for a motocross style helmet at all – even for racing? What real purpose does having that big open front and then covering it with goggles have.
Maybe i am overlooking something really obvious?
Ummm…none taken???
Get with the times mate, Latte is sooooo 1990’s mate…sort of like the Tenere’s

Road helmet TB.
Yeah i know the look isn’t that good on an adv bike but hey i ride a BMW so i look like a poofter anyway
…right?
Beat you to it!
I have a Suomy off road helmet that cost a heap 8 years back. Great fit, light weight – can wear it all day, excellent vision, removable/washable liner and good vents etc. I still have it and still wear it.
I also have a R-Jays road helmet i bought a few months ago. Don’t right R-Jays off. Yes they are cheap but they conform to Aussie standards, the visor doesn’t leak and i have been for some long rides and find it pretty comfortable. It also has a first click on the visor that is firm and lets a little air in to keep me cool in Summer. I don’t find it too heavy after a day of riding and it has a washable liner.
Downsides are visor fogs up a bit(which can be sorted with the first click) and the vents don’t work all that well. All in all, good value for money i reckon($110).
This is the one i will be wearing on the S.C ride.
Certainly an awesome adventure guys! :woohoo:
Looking forward to the RR and a heap more pics.
The bikes look great – heavy though  Would like to see a detailed review of how they performed.
Cheers,
Yeah thanks for rubbing it Eags and Bones.
What a top day for a ride eh! What were the tracks like?
Will a lap this weekend with the fully packed bike just to get the feel of the weight. Might need to get some tips on tyre pressure with the bike loaded on the road/trail tyres. What do you reckon i should run??
Cheers,

Oh yeah sorry…Welcome to Old Bulls mate.
Hey guys, good to see the F800GS getting a mention.

All good bones…mine too.
Unfortunately the only riding testing i will be doing before the big ride is sitting on the bike making vroom vroom noises
It will be good to take it on it’s first adv ride with some oldbulls to capture those awkward moments on camera
Thanks Mal. Yeah no probs. I’m not too concerned as long as it isn’t steep(up) and muddy. I’ve tried that in the Wato’s and got stuck  I’ve tackled the section off Tobins Rd etc a few times with success and it’s been real shitty.
Thats the thing about the original slicks though – they sell them as road/trail but the simply ain’t
I just got the Perelli Adventure trail on the front last week. It sells as a 95% road – 5% dirt? I say when your in the dirt…it’s 100% dirt
Don’t be too concerned though Eagle, i’ll try not to slow you down too much
Thanks guys.
I know the spot. Will take about 45 mins from mine. Settlers was the first ride i did when i picked up the new bike.
Yeah i might stay out of Blackfellows if its wet. TB i’d have trouble in that with off road tyres and 4 wheels :pinch: I will leave the trip planning up to you guys. Not sure of the off-road route but can’t wait to see what the day brings.
I know the route along River Rd, Dargle, Sackville Ferry, Colo etc etc if the weather is too snotty
I’m just looking forward to an all day ride and a day off work
I will try to grab my youny blokes go-pro unless you have one Eagle?
