Only ridden on weekends by little old lady…never taken off road…only ridden on sunny days…
February 5, 2012 at 10:00 am in reply to: EOI Upper Horton ADV Rally 10th/11th of March 2012 #213910Is this the ride you were talking about yesterday TB?
By the way, thanks for hooking up Chicken to help me out yesterday and to OB networking(thanks Chicken, you have my number if ever need anything up this way), all turned out good in the end. Just a few scratches and the Beema and a shit load of lost pride at my end(very little left nowdays).
Whats up with the state of the Watagan trails nowdays?? Are there no funds to fix them or have they left them in that state to discourage people from heading in there?
These things (go-pros) seem to be the G.O! My son got one for Chrissy that i might have to Borrow(take)
.
I saw a pair of goggles witht he camera on the eye brow line the other day in Woodys and was wondering how they go if anyone knows?
I like the chest footage for the race type of riding but probably the helmet shot for the adventure and trail ridingstuff to take in a bit more of the scenery?
Loaded easily and quick here. Hope to see some more of this type of footage.
Sounds like a great ride Jeffro. I wish i wasn’t being Mr Mum all weekend and could have joined you guys. I’ve done a few of those tracks but not all. Maybe next time… :cheer:
GOLD! Nice find. Seriously, who hasn’t been selling something on Ebay with 256 watchers and no one places a bid or calls
Nice ride Boony! I use to have a 525EXC and downsized to the 250 2-strokeEXC. Both great fun and they both had there place on different types of trails.
You just might need to have a couple of ponies in the stable…
LOL i still stick by my story that i was waiting to fight off the gorilla(XR600) that was about to jump out of the scrub :S
That looked like a doozy Deejay! Glad to hear your on the mend. Sounds like you were in good hands. Hope the bike doesn’t cost too much to fix up so you can be back out on the track in no time
Good on Steve for administering first aid…it’s amazing what a Wiggles band-aid and a baby wipe or two can do for the most serious of injuries. :silly:
Side story – I got a bit of petrol spilled on my nuts in a snoty single trail in the Watagans years ago and TB lead me to water to give them a little wash. Thought it was weird that he insisted on washing them for me though
Ouch! Hopefully not all your flat tyres micknmeld:( You can only be prepared for so much hey?
A bee sting in the eye – there ain’t much you can do about that except curl up in the foetal position and wait it out. :pinch: :pinch:
No doubt you were looked after like i was
All the guys would accept was my number so if they ever got into trouble in Newy or the Central Coast, i could help them out
I would drop everything and return the favour in an instant.
We actually got invited to go back to visit the guy who picked my bike up(nickname Nobby). Turns out he and his young bloke own a chroming business and they are mad into their bikes :woohoo: .
They also make their own Whisky
OUCH!!! Massive off and he still looked in shock when he was getting interviewed…understandable
He hadn’e even looked at his bike yet – totalled
Great comp with the 450’s but i wonder if the big bikes will come back in years to come?
Thanks for the tip Eags
January 3, 2012 at 9:09 pm in reply to: Ride from Newy to Bilpin and back. FRIDAY 13th Jan to Sun 15th #213996Sorry won’t be happening
That is my ‘Mr mum’ weekend. Nevermind i will be keeping an eye out for some more local adv rides taking place in the near future.
Does anyone know if there is a weekend summary coverage of the Dakar? I reckon Sunday session on the couch with a few coldy’s would be the go :woohoo:
Yeah you got that right. If it had happened on the New England Hwy, i would of had to walk the bike back to town:(
Nice clips and briefs on what is no doubt the greatest of all off-road races/events
Keep em’ coming :cheer:
I know i’ll be watching SBS at 530 every day :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:
