TB – you know what i’m like  …Is the bike going to get dirty? :SJanuary 3, 2012 at 5:40 pm in reply to: Ride from Newy to Bilpin and back. FRIDAY 13th Jan to Sun 15th #213158Guys, what grade of ride is this one goin’ to be? I just got the Beemer and to be honest i want to ease into the dirt stuff and see how the big girl goes  That is the bike..but also the big girl behind the bars!. I’ve still got the ‘road’ tyres on it. Did a small dirt run(St Albans to Peats Ridge 35 klms) and it was a bit dicey. Still keen on an overnighter though :cheer: . Also have the dates been confirmed because i am only free every second weekend?
Looks the goods :woohoo:
Yeah all planned…it reduces the scratches if you land under the bike
Thanks guys,
Thats a good start.
TB knows how particular i am with some things (sock folding for 1 eh TB):silly: so i will be making sure that there aren’t any scratches on the swing arm etc…
Can’t wait to get out on the trails, but will spend a bit of time getting it prepping it first.
I rode an ’02 a few years ago and just felt it was a great user friendly bike, unlike that 525 i got talked into:angry:
Thanks for your help. I’ll let you know how i get on

Hey ekips, welcome to the site.
I do a bit of driving out that way and thought there might be some good trails around that area.

I had an ’04 525 and ran Motorex from new and then switched to the Motul after about 6 months. Couldn’t notice any difference between the two and rode in all types of terrain and speeds. I did change the oil and filters every second ride regardless of klms travelled(as well as rear tyre:S ).
Final thought…When you buy a performance machine, spend the extra bucks and buy a performance oil.

9 months ago they said ‘When a black president gets elected, pigs would fly’…9 months later swine flu!
Thanks Guys,
Yeah it was hard to keep the bub quiet when TB came around. We had to hide in the lounge room for 40 minutes. TB’s a persistent bugga. Probably just after a free feed.
Glad to be part of the club. I look forward to meeting you all on a trail ride soon.
I’m sorry mate but i would say the next bike will also be orange:) Why don’t you just give in and go with the orange…you know you want to!

Tidy lookin’ bike Mick. It must be tough only having 5 or 6 bikes in the shed! Isn’t it a shame that work has to get in the way of trail riding…oh well nearly the weekend.:woohoo:
