What’s the difference between a large rock and bitumen?TB
I understand your point of view but what if it was a scuff(slide) in sand. Good helmets cost a bomb and I would definitely be looking all the aspects of the incident before I cut the chin strap.
Big accident and large impact on hard pack – bye bye helmet
Small impact on soft terrain – probably keep helmet
etc etc.
just my opinion. Maybe one I will regret some day??
What does Crash do? Speak to him?

All care taken but no responsibility !!!I have done the same as that Mr Squiggle, using the old lid to commute to work occasionally when it`s a tad warm ,,,
You took the plant out of the old lid first didnt you Eags
PTW
I thought that was wax in your ears Eagle…it was actually soil eh??
Hmmm tough one mate and i will have to sit on the fence…
That is, by rights, yes you should turn it into a plant pot but i know that i would make an educated guess as to the damage sustained to the helmet and the impact when i hit the ground. I for one could not afford to replace my helmet just because it touched the ground.
To me, it just looked a little scuffed, but i would check the insides and go over it with a magnifying glass for cracks and dents to the shell. Only you can judge the impact when you landed on your noggin’. Good thing you had that neck brace i reckon!
That wish list just keeps growing doesn’t it mate
Insane STM. Serious talent and massive kahoonas!
I’d be interested to hear how those pre filters go. Keep me posted please.
Same with 800 Beemer Mr Squiggle. A pain in the arse to change air filters. A set of uni filters coming soon.
That filter is filthy mate. How long since it was changed?
Thanks Teknik, got mine in the mail today!
Awesome
XL cells for me please.
Just rang my health fund(NIB)…they wont cover me for them but i might need to upgrade anyway after hearing all of the things my policy doesn’t cover. :S
If i upgrade they can cover $250 but there is the usual waiting period.
Yep, I am interested.
The weather just held out again for another great day in the Watagans and Yengo with MickP, James and Ollie
.
We met at the Letter A at 830 and made our way along the route I plotted earlier in the week.
All up, Mick and I travelled just under 300 klm.We were making good time through the Watagans and up into Yengo when I pulled up to wait for the others that I could no longer see in my mirrors. After a couple of minutes and not hearing any bikes, I made my way back cautiously along the track. It turns out that James had an an off in a tight section where I also nearly came unstuck  . He was all good though with no dmage to bike or rider.
At the same time, Ollie had a small mechanical with one of his cans rubbing against his headers. He battled on – to his credit and after a failed repair at Finchleys, we just stopped every 20 mins or so to fill the radiators back up…all good!
We had a small stop at Laguna for fuel and then ventured back into the Watagans. From memory, Ollie was the only one that had a latte…that was a latte wasn’t it mate??
The rest of the day was relaxing, just cruising through the forest but we covered lots of klm’s and once again, took in some of the best sights on the Coast.
Here are some shots from the day.

Reconised a lot of those places
Would of been impressive to get up the (Gap Hill) on a big bike, and yes it has become a bit snotty over the last few years. :woohoo:
Cheers
MurphYeah that was me Murph. Did the basin yesterday also. Thought I might try some of your grade 5’s tomorrow?? :S :S
Nearly got stuck down the Old Mill track too. With all the water, the big bikes need to stay up top.
Yep still a goer Ollie. Spoke to MickP and we are heading from home at 730.
Should be a good day. Pre ran yesterday. You should like the loop.
See ya in the morning.
