Well I bit the bullet and bought some Force Radiator guards from the guys at Sutto’s. Very helpful, I got on a bit of a roll and grabbed a tyre, some tubes, levers etc etc etc. Now I just have to get my hands on the credit card statement before the bride does…

Thanks TB, I might get myself one of those Scorpion Rears also.
Hopefully meet you at Sunny Corner 25/26 OctAction
Hey guys, in the market for some guards for the big yellow tractor. It looks like Force is the way to go. Can anyone enlighten me on some $ amounts, and I need them posted aswell. I am planning on buying a few things from Ballards tom, and am just wondering whether or not to get the guards from Sutto’s or Ballards.
Cheers
ActionSounds pretty good guys, I’ve not had an official OBT ride as yet, is there some sort of classification for the ride? I believe that 1-2 are relatively ‘easy’. I was planning on heading out that way on 16/17 Oct, but now might try and delay it. Is there any more info on where camp is based?
Cheers,
ActionHey TB,
Sorry to hear about your OFF, I am led to believe you were laid up next to another Old Bull? From what I hear the other OB is selling up… Tell me your not in the same boat.Good luck for a speedy recovery.
Cheers,
ActionI know a guy who has a PW 80 for sale, its been used around the farm by his three daughters, I’m not sure if your after a 50 or 80. I’ll check the year model and what sort of $$ he is looking for. The bike is located on the Central Coast (Ourimbah)
Thank you for the response. Going off some of the earlier posts I thought we may have lost you.
Have a great day!
ActionGuys,
Thanks for the help, so what I’ve picked up is the ratio equals rear sprocket / front sprocket.
ie 14/47 = 3.357
14/39 = 2.787And if i’m correct the higher the ratio the more grunt/wheel stand capabilities but less top speed
The lower the ratio less grunt but more top speed (longer legs)And a smaller front cog increases wear to the front cog. 2 fronts to a rear?
BUT, I thought I had to change both cogs and chain at the same time?
I thought I saw it straight but now I’m confused :blush:I’m only new on the tools.

Hey Gary, You found the site….
Enjoy the guys they all seem very helpful and knowledgebale.
Talk soon re a ride. While you guys are talking body armour, can anyone give me a heads up on the 4bp body armour? Pro’s, cons, comfortability etc.
Many Thanks
ActionMick G put met onto Craig Macklin Motorcycles at Kirrawee. He was super helpful. I did think about going to see Fathead, but Mick G spoke volumes about Craig Macklin. Lets see the result. On a side note I’m thinking about putting my 17 year old on the WR 250 and maybe getting myself a DRZ 400, hopefully we will both be able to come out and ride with you guys. Its been a while so I might have to get a few hours under my belt before hitting the trails with you old pros. I saw some Vids and pics of the Sofala ride, looks like the guys had a hoot.
See you on the trails
ActionCheers guys, I went and chatted to a mechanic mate of an OBT. He is sorting me out. Won’t be too long till I get to see you out there.
