    Well where was it?

Mine was arrawarra with STM and Sam. Yesterday.

I’m surprised Sam was up early enough to even see New Years Day before it was New Years night :P

    What no report

    Adam.

That boy of yours showed very good form B)
He enjoyed New Years with his mates but still backed up for a good hit out with me and Nato. It was cool to show Sam where I live and to introduce him to my wife and my two little boys. I always admire great relationships between Dads and sons and you and Sam certainly have that.
I realise how much I have to look forward to. Apart from time I may spend with my mates or with my wife, I am excited for all the experiences me and my two little boys will have together.

    STM

Good to see he was on his game ;)

You’ll enjoy trying to keep up with your sons :P just give it a little time, you’ll be there before you know it

My first ride was today and it was a ripper :woohoo:

Thanks Dude for organizing and Sweeping ;) and Murph for leading :cheer: and Jeffro, Mr Squiggle and Stuart for a top day in the bush :woohoo:

Hope you get things sorted Funky, it’s no good leaving a ride early unless by choice, book yourself in for this ride next time it comes up ;)

I had a ball, only lost it on two sandy corners  and a quarry :S  :pinch: with a couple of step offs thrown in  , although the single out of the quarry was a good alternative ;)

Rode some tracks I hadn’t ridden before and some I had, rode part of K9 with Morgo and Looselink 3 1/2 years ago B)

There were some big ruts on this ride with no alternative but to ride them in places :)

I think I now have a loop for Snowy :P

    Some vids to come.

    Gotowo,

A good place to start for DRZ’s is Thumper Talk see here: http://www.thumpertalk.com/forum/215-drz400-faq/

Usually when you free up the air you need to free up the fuel, i.e. bigger fuel jets not smaller, having freed up the air box I’d leave the air jet alone, but consider the pilot jet if your mixture screw is more than two turns out for good idling.

With my DRZ I moved the needle clip down one position to richen up the mid throttle position, can’t remember what the main jet was.

Your suspension will need some tuning too if its standard, again Thumper Talk has some good tips.

Well the pace was too fast to get too much video especially as I swept the first half of the ride.

It was all I could do to keep up.

So the vids I got were from when I was leading. I had to be early to the top :P

I absolutely love riding in those conditions, no dust and just the right amount of mud. :woohoo:

On a mobile so go to http://www.youtube.com/user/youbucktube for the video Fun in the Watties.

Thanks to the boys for a very entertaining day. :woohoo:

And thanks Murph for leading us out to the quarry. We found the singles to get back but ran out of time to do them. :(

What brand Adam? I was reading on an earlier post about the Shorai not being water proof. Are batteries usually water proof?
    Cheers

    I have the SSB Budge.

I got it just after the OB Birthday ride.

    Budge,

I bought a lithium from Hollyhock batteries $110 delivered I think. So far so good, and 1kg lighter. Coastal KTM stocks them now too for similar price.

I will join the ride. :)

anyone thinking of doing an overnighter?

Mr Squiggle and son are already there, family stuff restricts my ability to stay :(

I’m guessing phone reception at Frying Pan is limited or non existent as it’s at the bottom of the valley.

I’ll meet anyone that wants to tag along from Dungog at the Lions Park Cnr of Clarence Town Rd and Carlton Ave at 7 – 7:10am. It’s a bit over 1/2 hr from there.

PM’s sent with my phone number for those that don’t already have it ;)
