budge wrote:Thanks Adam and Rach. How about Sat 23rd Nov, say 9am? If this suits, I’ll repost or amend first post.
Cheers budgeBudge,
Sat 23rd is fine by me
Ground has had a good soaking too :woohoo:
Adam.
Budge,
Going to the bike show next Saturday but free after that
I can also lead if necessary
I won’t mind sweeping either, we’ve had a bit of rain to settle the dust :woohoo:
Ran into G mac yesterday and he’s keen for a ride in a couple of weeks too.

The battery drops to 5 volts also. These model WR’s had a light weight starter that could burn out, don’t wind it over continuously. Just short bursts.
If the battery is new and charged then it’s possible the starter is dying. If the battery is old then it could be a tired battery.
Adam.
Glow,
Try these.

Adam.
Teza,
I’ve got a few little tracks for you to test it out on
Have to catch up soon.
Adam.
Boze,
If your concerned that the bearing is too loose you could use some Loctite.
Which Loctite would depend on how much clearance there was. The stronger you go the harder to replace.
I’ve needed heat to shake the bearings loose on my DRZ and Sam’s KTM, you’ll probably need heat if you use Loctite too.
Wheels are relatively slow in the revolution stakes less than 1000rpm @ 100kph.
But they do have high loadings so it pays to keep them firm in place.
If they are quite loose you could always do the centre pop trick, haven’t had to do it on a bike but it’s worked on many other situations  Not sure how it would go though.
Adam.
Your usual impossible looking tracks Murph  :pinch:
Happy 21st Tim, bet your feeling older today
Adam and Sam.
Spare a thought for Pikey who was evacuated from Catherine Hill Bay this evening.
He won’t know how things went till tomorrow.
Adam.
I missed this one
A belated 40th Toes
ah so young
Knowing you it was a good one :woohoo:
Adam.
Gordon,
I’ll tag along :woohoo:
Adam.
Ross,
Try this link
I’ve been playing with one of Sam’s mates KTM 450 which was having idling problems which I finally sorted and the AC pump is first cab off the rank tomorrow as it’s suffering that snap of the throttle bog.
I hope it helps both you and me
Adam.
I’d have been in but for a sore leg
However saying that how hard can a 0.75 graded ride be
You’ll have fun boys Dude does know his way around
Adam.
Not only have I not heard of this happening  I couldn’t imagine anyone doing it to you
Having said that how happy was your wife after you injured yourself
It must be something from the engine. I’ve had experience with stray objects being found in engines :pinch:
Hope it turns out to be something simple, however having particles travel through you engine is not good regardless of where it came from
Adam.
Now that everything is apart it will probably go back together nicely.
Even though you loosened the triple clamp bolts (I assume all) it still may have needed a bit of pressure to put things straight.
It takes a fair old wack to bend a bike, usually the operator comes out even more bent
Check the forks anyway now that there out, may be a good time to change the fork oil too
If your changing the steering bearings then you may need to persuade the bearing off otherwise give it a good clean and grease.
Adam.
A few more grey hairs popped out I bet
Nothing like a bit of stress to let you know your alive
Kids (big ones included) always find a way to get into trouble :pinch:
Glad everything turned out OK Wolfie
Adam.
