    Ollie,

There’s a gravel car park on the right about 400m from the roundabout.

    See you there.

I’m surprised they make such as chunky apparatus for a starter when low weight seems to be the norm and that it failed. The size of the rollers almost seems overkill..

I’m guessing it could transmit a #%&* load more torque than it has too, however given where it has to fit it ends up being that size.

Once the motor is going it would simply become part of the flywheel mass.

I put the part in today and all good.

Will give it a good go on Sunday

    No worries Rach.

If you need a hand come up early and we can sort them ;)

You won’t be too buggered from Saturday will you  I think we saw where they’ll be riding yesterday. One hill we couldn’t get up as it was too slippery  Michael only had one attempt and turned back

What have you done to it??

    Murph,

The sprag clutch (KTM name it the “roller free wheel” ) in the electric start system locked up towards the end of the Friday Cells ride. Possibly due to a backfire. Had to take out one of the intermediate gears to stop the starter motor from permanently spinning at about a million revs. Actually the engine wouldn’t start as it would try to fire but couldn’t get enough speed to allow the auto decomp to disengage. Waiting on new part should be here tomorrow or Thursday.

Will do a report with photos tomorrow.

    Here’s another vid.

It includes me getting roosted by the then King Bollocks  and my failed attempt to do the same to him

I’m guessing Boony’s bike is a mud magnet as Polly got the bike a beauty too (lucky I wasn’t on it at the time  )

    Murph,

Sam’s keen for this one, and if I get my bike fixed and there’s the usual chicken route I’ll come too.

    I have had some more information sent to me regarding the manual (Cable) operation of the Rev-loc from the Australian distributor as Quoted below;

“I have my clutch gap set with my cable. If it is not trying to go I back the gap off. If it stalls I give it a bit more gap.

It will bed in over the first twenty hours and you will end up with a bit more gap.”

I must state that have nothing to do with Rev-loc either directly and/or indirectly and are just investing my experiences and knowledge with those who are thinging of investing their hard earned cash in a clutch of this type.

I must say that I have ridden Chris’ KTM400 fitted with a Rekluse and found it to be very good also. However i was prepared to spend around $400 for a Rev-loc Dyna Ring and not $900+ for a Rekluse to find it was not what I wanted or thought it would be. It will still take a little time to adjust to but as TB has mentioned to me, which i agree with, is that I will be using it as per normal and will only take advantage of it for rear braking and some tricky hill situations. Other than that it will be clutch as normal.

I will keep you posted as to how it ends up. From a value for money and durability point of view. ;)

    Cheers,

    Lefty

    Lefty,

How did the revloc go after a period of time?

Did you like it, and did you experience any problems?

    Adam.
