    Wolfie,

I did about 5000k’s in a year on the 350. It was new so I did go looking for rides to test it

Hope to put a few more k’s on it next week ;)

Saturdays ride was also a cracker :woohoo:

I was a little rusty at the start with a small dismount into a puddle :pinch: to remind me to pick my game up a bit

Everyone got along at a good pace with only a few issues which gave time for a rest and a chat ;)

Boony twisted his knee on a log :( but after a bit of a rest he pushed on B)

Not to be out done Kevdog decided to take on a tree  and his bike came off second best with a

    leaking radiator

Boony to the rescue with some kneadit and we slowed the flow enough for him to ride out :)

Trapeze was enjoyable except for the vines  I managed to hook up on every single one

I’m thankful I wasn’t at the front as Nickj had to clear all of them to get us through ;)

The second group don’t know how easy they got it :P

Lunch was fantastic and that set the mood for the ride back which was on fire :woohoo:

Although I think Dejay had too many chips and his bike tossed him off in protest :P

but as he was suspended in the vines he never touched the ground so it wasn’t a crash

I’m sure it was the lure of cold beverages that drove everyone on

I’ve got some vids sorted ;)

We’ll start with Sunday cause that’s the way it’s worked out

It was a cracker of a ride. The pace just seemed to get faster and faster :woohoo:

Shame about the KTM300’s rider who’s name escapes me  I’ll blame it on the bourbons

He hit a stick jutting out on the track and it took him out :( He hurt his back a bit and decided better ride home sore than continue and ride home in an ambo :pinch:

He did do the Old Bulls thing though and the stick is no longer there ;) but next time use a saw

There were some other minor mishaps along the way some of which I got on video :cheer: and it just added to the enjoyment of the ride :)

STM sure knows his way around and the trails were excellent :woohoo:

We did 52 km and we were back by 11:15 and you all know the trails we were riding B) but you can watch them again anyway

    Well what a cracker :woohoo:

Thanks to STM and Nickj for their effoorts in leading, especially Nick and his band of merry helpers who carved the last track down to the pub ;) it was hard enough at the rear I can only imagine how hard it was at the front.

Another thanks goes to Spud and DeeJay, Nickj Friday and yes even Boony for their efforts at the rear keeping us all in line and on the go.

The last thanks goes to eveyone else because without the laughs, banter, subtle hints on how to ride, drinking buddies, help picking up bikes and everything else that goes on the ride wouldn’t work.

I’ve got some vids to sort through and will post up (if any good) later.

It’s possible it got a little hotter than normal with all the slow stuff.

When the coolant expands it occupies the air gap above the fins thats why when you over fill them they squirt out the excess and find their own level. Looks bad because it hits the header pipe and turns to steam.

What was the level when she cooled down again?

If your motor gets really hot (above 135 – 140 degrees if your cap is good and 50:50 coolant mix) then the coolant will boil and you will lose a lot of fluid. Break out the coffee and have your self a cuppa and let it cool down.

If your later models are anything like Sam’s 06 model then it’s overly complicated.

If yours has the small ignition relay be aware the contacts can stick, and if it gets a bad earth, or they stick open you can’t start the bike.

An on the trail fix was to simply unplug it.

What are the track conditions at the moment.
