Top stuff Polly
Can’t wait :woohoo:
Adam.
Phew,
When I first saw the title I thought you meant your bike
Good to see its staying
Adam.
Accommodation wise is this a camp out, caravan park stay or a five star resort with pool side bar and spa for after the rides
Adam.
I’m in :woohoo:
Adam.
Bollocks,
I use a GME 3 watt radio and a headset purchased from NZ. Sam and Merv also have the same setup and it works well
We have also had others on rides with a two way in their back pack, if they got lost or crash and injured (as happened on one ride) they can call you up
Here is the link (its a wierd site)
http://www.amalgamate2000.com/sales/motorcycle__communications.htm
He can supply the “K” series headset to suit any brand of radio, Uniden and GME are common ones he supplies.
I can get spare parts for these headsets from Jaycar.
Adam.
Absolutely top stuff boys :woohoo:
I’m going to have to make the effort and travel up for one of your rides Ev
I can see the drive will be worth it
Nick your sure getting the most out of your camera and it looks the goods
Keep us all posted on how they’re performing in general, we can see the video results already
Adam.
Bender,
Now the theft’s done and dusted
Put your mind to what your going to buy next :woohoo:
Adam.

It had sent the selector fork blue.
The fix is to strip it down and replace the worn parts.
When its apart you’ll see tha fault its usually obvious.
Sam’s third gear on his KTM250 had a different problem. It felt like neutral, no jumping at all. The gear dogs litterally blew off and were sitting in the bottom of the box.
I may still have the WR gears here I’ll have a look and post a photo.
Below is Sam’s problem

Adam.
Is thats Sams new 250
TB
Unfortunately yes
Happened on the second or third lap at last weekends AORC sweep.
He spent the rest of the weekend on Moose’s 250 with no problems.
There was no sign of any form of wear on any of the dogs, one dog that broke off had a slight mark on the edge probably where it hit the selector fork.
Interestingly one of the split cage roller bearings had a roller missing
Looks like it was missing from its initial assembly. I doubt it had anything to do with the gear failure.
Ordered the new parts and doing a new piston as well
I’m quiet with work so it has given me something to do other than keeping the boss happy with jobs around the house
Adam.
Found a pair of the 450’s gears. The previous owner had the problem, pulled the box apart, tried to grind the dogs square (without success), put it back together and flogged it off on Ebay to a mate of Sam’s
It cost him a couple of hundred dollars in parts and two cases of beer but he got it back together and going.
Now if Sam’s mate can do it anyone can
All you need to do is read the instructions  Something he had trouble with

Adam.
Happy Birthday Nick, and only 40, still a young bloke (although Rocket has it over all of us).
Enjoy your day
It will be hard to better your Noosa trip though :silly:
Adam.
Happy Birthday Rocket, have a good one
With your time off work and on the puter you should really be able to hone your computing skills
Cheers

teza h wrote:Hay! do yu just add the two weight’s together to get the real weight,or is there more math in it than that ?Teza you can do it with bathroom scales
You just need to put a block of wood the same height as the scales under the other wheel, then weigh each end and add it up.
It may also pay to put a bit of ply on the scales to spread the load over the deck of the scales.
I weighed the DRZ and it came in just under 140 kg’s.
The 350 weighed about 113 kg’s, the tank was about 3/4 full.
My back loves the weight loss
Now to convince the Wife thats a good thing
Adam.
Nice bit of parking there Lefty
I can see why you moved over to rallying
Must have been a great experience though
Adam.
