I hope it goes better than it looks.Stop whinging and ride it you’ve been looking at photos for months what did you expect?
doesnt look as good as the photos. the one i saw was in full ADR mode, looked gay.

Another factor was that the Yamaha dealers have a new model special going on.
The new WR was $ 600 cheaper than the katoBuzz wrote:dupsyam4 wrote:BOLLOCKS wrote:Spoke to a bloke today aido who went over to coffs last week end to test ride the new WR 450.he said it was unbelievable….all good things come to those who wait.
Bol :woohoo:
Ha bol.
Do you know if they gave him a price..

My local dealer rode at Coffs launch ( probably the same bloke that Bols spoke to and normally rides a 2 fiddy ) tells me it handles like a 2 fiddy. He said he had it on a middle of the range setting so that it wouldn’t pull his arms off and didn’t even notice the weight of the bike in the tight stuff.
I believe the shop is going to demo a bike and I will be taking it for a ride before I make my final decision on whether to stay with a 450 or drop down to a 250.
As for price, he is quoting $13750 on road which is on par with other brands.
If the bike is true to it’s design specs it will be well worth the wait.Buzz
I placed my order today, $12950 ride away.
It comes with a offroad enduro pack and a power tuner
They are hoping to have it at the dealership midweek and with a touch of luck i will have it by next weekend
Welcome to the site mate. Your sure to find heaps of riding opurtunities around here mate.
just keep a thick skin and have a sense of humour because this place is full of loonies
xy-transit wrote:Go with something totally different Aido.get a Maico 700
no one will give you grief about the way you ride or your choice of bike.
all you have to say is, ” do you have the ‘big ends’ to buy and ride a 700 2T?!. when you do, then you can give me grief!
“.
👿
or just go mental and build something like an Aprilia/RGV/ 2T twin into a an alloy framed dirt bike. and when they ask WHY?!?! just twitch and say “Cos i can, can your dirt bike do a dollar sixty five down the free way?? on knobbies? well can it?? huh?”. and i’m sure they’ll leave you alone for sure.

Drew you have way to much spare time on your hands
Boony wrote:aido wrote:Well i have just sold my bike (again) and are without a bikeI have been waiting for the new WR but are now thinking euro
will most likely stay 450, thinking kato or berg
to be honest i dont know what i want
Your in Victoria yeah?????
you got rec rego yeah?????
crikey how easy is this decision.
Suzuki RMX 450 weapon. its a no brainer,
the only reason we welshmen dont have them is there not ADR compliant up here…..
Boony
To be honest i have never seen one in the five years i have been riding so i wouldnt even consider a RMX an option
EAGLE`02 wrote:Get real Boonit,,,
If he bought one of those, he wouldn`t be able to join in on most of our events in NSW :whistle:Aido does travel up sometimes,,,,
i will be up at some stage this year eags and hopefully ill get to ride this time
mal5.1 wrote:Never thought I’d hear the words ‘I’m thinking Euro’ came out of your mouth mate. :laugh:Good luck with whatever you buy. I wouldn’t think you’d go Berg again. Have a look at the Beta’s R model. Nice bike by all accounts and the ‘R’ model gets nicer suspension. What about Sherco? Excellent bike in my opinion and the 300 has WP suspension now.
1inarow gets his efi WR this week hopefully and we’ll get out for a ride soon enough. When this bloody rain eases up. He has always had WR’s so he’ll give a honest review of the bike.
Here’s another biased review on the EFI WR. 😆

Being a mechanical spastic i would prefer to stay with the mainstream brands
The WR is my preferance but im not a patient person so they better hurry up and get me one

Bol :woohoo:
i know someone who went as well but havnt heard any unbiased reports yet.
Im sure it will be a great bike but i still want to have a look at one before i commit
most likely by months end
