That must be where i have been going wrong then…..
I have been getting pointers off him!!!Another girls opinion…….
I hadnt ridden, only a few squirts as a young girl,
And my partner and i did a little research on bikes before i decided to go browsing for one,
Went to local dealer asked for there opinions, they had the crf, ttr and xt.
They reccommended the xt 250 and i couldnt of been happier, i do agree that if she is dedicated it wont matter what bike she gets, she’ll be happy just hitting the trails.
Last year i upgraded to the wr 250, got a fair price on trade in and extremely happy with the wr.
Just thought progression for myself was better than jumping in the deep end.
But height, weight, electric start and of course the look and colour of bike are very important.
Like previously said, patience is important plus let her tackle things like knarly hills when she is ready, and a few training sessions of the basics to start her off is the go
And just get her out there and have fun!!!
Get her to message me if she is keen for a ride, heaps up this way, from grade 1-5Hey oldgirl,
I think you summed up how i feel most days before heading out!!But i dont have the nerve to go it alone,
so it was great that you got out there riding,
With you and the new bike back in one piece!!!
Good to hear you are happy with your new ride too!!!We just got a spot tracker, and after what everyone says,
highly recommend it, guess just piece of mind……I am always looking for other newbies to ride with and there is plenty of easy stuff,
plus harder stuff when your ready for it, around my area if your ever keen to come back up this way!!
Just let me know
But happy riding for now, keep us updated on your adventures!!Alyssa
Sounds like another great obt w/end
loved the reports and photos!!Alyssa
Thats great news oldgirl!!
gotta be excited, new bike!!
They look a nice bike too,
Would loved to of done a ride with you this w/end
But cant this time, maybe the next one,Hope you have a blast,
Better hang on to this one!!!
AlyssaHey oldgirl,
I started on the xt 250 and LOVED the little donkey,
Only problem was no clearance in ruts
I have spoke to a few other learners,
and they were happy with the ttr230 and ttr250 and klx250when i got my xt, i just went in and asked for a bike that i could touch the ground on, that wouldnt scare me to death!!
I didnt test ride, just took it home and away i went.
So in my opinion, just go with a bike that you will be comfy on, know is reasonably bulletproof, easy to get parts for etc and worry about the ins and outs of all the bikes later on when your ready to upgrade, plus the more people you meet out riding, the more bikes you’ll get to check out and ask peoples opinions on.Just my 2 bobs worth
if your keen, your more than welcome to take my wr 250 for a spin,
She is lowered, seat shaved, so if height is an issue, atleast you can see what its like modified for the height challenged!!
Just promise me, she wont end in pieces or a recovery mission like your last bike did, if not the offers there, we will tee something upAlyssa
Happy birthday for yesterday kat,
Hope you had an awesome day!!
Alyssa & stephen
My Favourite racing memories were watching the hqs at oran park
entertaining watching the little aussies,
But for sure its a hard choice between muscle car masters,
and the v8 utes…..
Have to be the utes!!!
No street circuits though, gotta have room for nudging,
Biffing, rubbing ohhhh gotta love it!!Hey oldgirl,
You have been busy!!
Id offer assistance, but mmmmm
i have got nothing…Great work though,
Look forward to the updates
Mmmmm
I guess thats when black and white televisions were the latest and greatest!!Seriously the cotf is a little different to the old days
I agree with the parity, control regs, and trying to cost containment,
Just dont want to ruin what has obviously been a great attraction for australian fans and a growing international interest.Great work, above and beyond TB, mick and kat
I dare say oldgirl thought she would never see it again
Love the oldbull spirit!!Hey oldgirl,
Bet your stoked
Get it going soon,
and we’ll all have to hit the trails again,
Hopefully in more forgiving conditionsGreat start to the ride report kat
I am enjoying reliving it.Wow, what a day :silly:
From when we left home to ride to meet spot,
I could see from the conditions, it was going to be an interesting, wet day!!Keys seemed to be the issue of the morning, but thanks to
micks amazing talents, all the girls were able to start the ride :cheer:Lots of oops, oh my, woo hoo, oh gosh moments had by all :silly: :silly:
Such a shame oldgirl (not old at all !!) Had to abandon her bike, ride cut short, plus a sore knee ( hope it heels soon )
On the plus side, you may get a new bikeGreat to meet joe, and whiskey, too.
I had a ball, and thanks again kat and mick for such a top day, i am still smiling
