Yes, very sad to hear the news on friday about the event being cancelled.
But as i need to get more time on the bike, i thought what the heck,
I will still head out on the trails.
I had no idea where i was headed, but lucky some great guys were out riding too,
Cause on a few occassions i wouldnt of got myself out,
there was a guy called mal, and he seemed to know the area well,
He pointed me in the right direction on the trails, after giving me a hand on a hill
Then i think there were a couple of other guys, that came across me
Sam and gareth and the dude ( etc. too many names to remember)
that i also met while i was struggling up and down some hills!!
Even though the weather made it even trickier, i had a great time,
but would definently love to ride, with a group of guys like the ones i met on the weekend

Make sure you do shop around
When i was looking, i checked out a few places on line
(i hate buying online, i like to touch and feel and to buy local)
And went to a big bike shop in sydney, but when i decided on the
helmet i liked i went to my local guy and he ordered a couple of
sizes to double check my size, then to my amazement he was $150 cheaper
than anyone else !!
Gotta love great service and an awesome price!!
Plus did i mention that i am stoked with my helmet!!!

I havent been riding long, and i majority ride dirt
My first helmet was a arai vx pro and i loved it
Then i recently needed a new one but when i went and
tried a new one on, it didnt feel right (i guess my head shape changed??)
So i tried on the shoei vfx-w and wow awesome!!
Love it, i have ridden with it a few times now and its sooo
comfortable
All i can say is try on a few helmets and wander around
with it on for awhile, you will know pretty much straight away!
You do only get one head, and its a pretty big purchase so make
sure your happy with it!!
And its gotta look good too!!!

so happy that you all seemed to have a good time,
and like stephen said, you are all, more than welcome any time!!

im not sure why you count the lie downs, there a given!!
I like to count the fist pump moments, when i have succeeded in not face planting,
or my bike ending up on top of me, or when i have actually stayed on course,
and not making my own path through the scrub !!
I never was that good at maths!!

Might be too soon, but are either of you keen for another ride??
my next weekend off is the 26th 27th may !!

Yep the sunday ride was a long ride considering i usually only go for a couple of hours
But kat and the guys were awesome
Would be great to get out for a ride, more time on the bike the better

i havent been brave enough to tackle those hills you see around kurri,
some of them, a goat would struggle to get up
But hey a couple of girls could conquer anything!!!
Or atleast alot of laughing as were trying!!!
Not bad single trails though

Let me know what your thinking for the 12th

My partner (wrsteve) and i are from the kurri area

I only just upgrade from the xt 250 ,i loved her, she went everywhere and anywhere
clearance/bottoming out was the only thing that stopped us!!
