Day one is done and it was everything you expect on Mikes rides. The group has good pace and we rode some awesome single and a few massive hills. It is dry and loose which adds to the challenge. Today will be a big one with 120 km’s planned. There will be plenty of reports and pics to come. Lets just hope eveyone forgets about my 7 attempts on one big hill.

    Hi All,

Just chasing suggestions for boots, as the ones I’ve got aren’t working out.

I’ve got those ONeal $180 buck boots in a US size 11 (I’m Oz 10) which fit fine other than being way too small around the calves.

I’ve got the top strap extended fully and can still only barely push the clip over.

Luckily I’ve got a skinny legged size 10 kid who can wear them, so I’m up for a replacement.

    Any suggestions?

I’m only trail riding, not racing.

Something with tread would be good as I come off often, and need to pick up the bike etc halfway up hills and wotnot.

    Cheers,

g day mlc>>> this was a thread not oo long before you signed up to the site click here

    hope it helps ya mate

i’d probably have a look if they make it not so delicate,

I mean if you didn’t have to put it in a plastic box to keep dust- water- ect out of it

Another good reason to have knee braces – surgeon cleared me to start riding again from October if I wear the braces and don’t go stupid. So it will have to be one out of two and ill wear the braces. Octobers a way better outcome than January if no braces.

that’s great news snowy it will be good to see ya back on the bike again.

my braces saved me from a little off on parachute hill>> first time I have come down on my knee and im pleased I had that protection there it still hurt like hell but no where near as bad as it would have been…

just a few little adjustments from my end needed and all sould be good ,,,,

I just sent the wife off to Sydney in the plane and the daughter is having a sleep :cheer: :cheer: :cheer:

so I thought now that I have five minutes to me self I would build up the courage to look at the air cleaner. after mounting bollocks

first things first and to get the priorities right it was of to get a cold stubbie then to look at the rotten mess

this is a brand new filter from a day and a half of riding dusty trails
