LOL. Not all that organised mate, I just keep an eye on the date and weather as I look forward to getting out and riding, I only get out every few weeks cos were so busy with the 1.5 and 3.5 year old boys, aside from quick rides on some local dirt roads.
Weather is looking great leading into Saturday, I love a bit of rain to settle the dust, and the temp looks to be good too, the shower or two should pull it under 30, and were starting early so should beat the afternoon cool change.
Last big ride I was on had very hot dry days leading in and was well over 30, not real good when you have more than two or three bikes was too dusty so this is looking good.

I’m really keen for this ride, looking forward to meeting the Bulls! :cheer:
Lets hope this 40 Degree business is long gone by next Saturday
Sounds good.
I might just go for a few quick runs up through Strathewen to KL between now and then, so just let me know closer to Sat if your still keen.
Cheers.

Is it just to make the bike easier to ride with less manual controls?Does anyone here race/compete with one?
I used one in my 550 Berg in a couple of enduro’s, the most benefit was when fatigue set in, made life so much better, the thing I liked the most was you could basically blast into corners way to hot and not have to worry about stalling and to a point which gear you were in, with the power of the 550 it most of the times would pull/wheel spin you out, I am putting one into my Berg 450 at the moment so will be interesting how the smaller cc’s handle that style of riding.
While I was doing the videoing for Mal5.1, I could really see the difference with Mal’s riding, he looked to be in more control (seriously) and the lap times proved it, I reckon he will improve at least another 3-5 seconds a lap before the A4DE, go Mal go!!How did you go with the FE 450? and which Rekluse clutch did you go for.
Cheers.
This ones on Fathers day unfortunately.
But I was curious as to where Paddy’s is? I noticed meeting at the end of the ring road which is my side of town.
Cheers.

Quote:VTB i have made contact with arewethereyet and he wont be able to make it due to sunday racing commitments.Hey sorry guys for bailing on this one.
The second round of the DVMCC pony-X is on same weekend, and I paid up my membership and did the first round so gotta have another crack.
I am getting it together though, recovery time is improving after big rides, and getting less arm pump. I am getting used to the bike and getting more confident each ride. Last Sunday was a monster ride, some exploring with a guy checking new tracks out in Toolangi, went from Kinglake end, across to Buxton, and back, exploring (AKA getting FKNG lost cos heaps of sign posts still being fixed from fires) and ended up doing about 200Klms, and roughly 7 hours riding.
Looking forward to getting out with you guys though, just trying hard to get into shape and getting skills sharpened, that’s why the Enduro’s are good, they kinda throw me in the deep end.
Have a great weekend though. :cheer: Cheers.
Being a fair drive for a morning run I might take the family up and be a tourist on Sat, then ride on Sunday with a nice 3 hour run home.
Sounds even better that way, I am getting back into the scene to the cruisier the better.
Why not? I’m keen. :woohoo:
I noticed a question if its team or individual, happy with either?
I haven’t ridden in a race for over a decade, will be funny and may involve spewing in my helmet.
I have an enclosed trailer so feel tight saying it but can only fit one bike! but I will drive on the race day and would be happy if someone had a mutli-bike trailer to switch over somewhere and take others, it will stop me falling asleep with the early start and the 3 hour drive (not sure how long?).
Thanks to all for a warm welcome, and a laugh as well.
I am keen on any local rides or with notice can get mobile.
I will keep an eye out for posts and might put up some soon myself when I can lead others without getting lost.
Hi TB,
Thanks for the welcome. I found you by just Googling “Rider Forum” and found your link on this page http://dirtbikeaustralia.com.au/dirt-bike-forums/index-Dirt-Trail-Bike-Forums.html
I liked the sound of the older crowd, as its hard to explain to people without kids why you just can’t ride every weekend with 5 minutes notice, if you know what I mean.
