Do you mean the other way around – bore is different stroke is the same?

edit: nvm b/s ratio is as follows 95/55.5 – 95/63.4 – 105/72 for the 3 different units. Interesting that they change stroke not bore…

Other than the slug and sleeve, what is different between the 390 and 570? ignition timing? ECU settings? How good would it be if you could just rip the slug out and put the other sleeve on and go for it!?

Knowing the 2011 310/250 husky motor is such an improved design I couldn’t go a 2010 out of principle but that’s your call. The 310 and previous 250 were sleeved down 450s and as such weigh too much whereas the new motors are designed from the ground up so they’re set up much better for that CC range.

If you’re otherwise happy with your bike is it out of the question to consider a smaller bore and piston for your machine to drop it to 400cc? Have you installed a map switch?

looks about the same as the Kato….

bar the SIX SPEED ;)

Kato is getting the six speed as well. The blue bike will have an 11L clear tank and closed chamber forks. I reckon they’ll get sales just based on the fact that everyone is sick of everyone riding the same bike! It is great that they’ve released it even though I’m not interested in this one, the more competition out there the better and with berg’s advancement in tech hopefully we’ll see a DI 2t without an expansion chamber in the coming years and that’s when they’ll see my money.

I could get my mates 450 up and click up one gear but I never had more than 5minutes on it at a time so I didn’t get heaps of practice but it was definitely less aggressive lifting the wheel.

Yeah I’ll be learning 3rd gear wheelies first I think, 1st and 2nd are too touchy for me yet

I was teaching myself how to wheelie today and had a little stack like yours but kept going then doing a 2nd gear clutch onto the pipe it suddenly got more traction than normal and flipped me straight onto my arse :( Funny though :)

Are you sure its getting good spark? Did you put a new plug in it or just clean the old one? I’d take a look at that too I think.

That’s a classic vid! I went over the bars the other weekend and mine got shoved into my goggles putting a small crack in the lense but the camera glitched out so the vid was corrupted.

Check this cool story out http://www.bbc.co.uk/worldservice/news/2010/06/100611_turtle_wt_sl.shtml
