That’d require an average speed of 90kms/hr the entire trip. Ignoring parking/dumping your car of course, the speed limit might get to 90 here or there but enough of it is 60 and then there’s the traffic lights.

Sorry to push it I’m bored :(

    PERFECT

If you want to miss the flight and stay in newcastle!

I just looked at the formule 1 site and it says

    NEWCASTLE (30.00 km / 18.64 mi)

so I’m guessing you thought that was minutes, rather than miles, TB??

    15 – 18 mins to the airport

    Cheap as ;)

Good on you for helping hour but no way its 15mins, not even on the 650 mate! Is that what their site says? It’d take 40mins at 6am or closer to an hour at 8am.

Moto’s offer is your best so far mick. It’s odd that they haven’t built something nearby there yet but I guess it’s not that busy an airport yet.

Nah I think by saying “They are grippier than standard WR pegs so I found moving around on them more difficult than normal.” he means its more difficult to shift his foot because they’re grippy.

I haven’t replaced my lenses yet and on the weekend the low sun was giving the old gogg’s grief at the start of the ride so I switched to safety glasses for most of the day. My eyes are pretty stuffed from all the dust and I had to go get some drops but they’re still weeping.

The dust got annoying enough that I figured it’d be worth trying the goggs again given the sun was high and I soon realised that I should’ve done that earlier. I hadn’t because I was concerned since riding with dust and safety glasses is uncomfortable but riding with goggs and barely any visibility was plain dangerous.

MickW I don’t know why you’d put your eyes through that every ride.

I’m going to knock off early today so I can get to the shops and get a new set of lenses and I might get a spare set too.

Well given that a washer is designed to increase the spread of the load from the nut or bolt face and the fixed surface I expect it should go between the nut and the frame. Hard to figure it out without seeing pics though.

So it fell out when you did the lever? Not the washer that sits between the split pin and your peg mounts?

FWIW when I put the stock pegs back on I noticed they also don’t sit in the neutral position. I’m going to have a chat with champo and the guys out at cessnock but I think they’ll want me to bring it in and that’s a pita during business hours. I think a tiny amount of grind (mounts not the pegs) and fit would fix it what says the peanut gallery?

Grrrrereeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaatttttttttt post BRUCE! The TM has 2 crank case breather hoses and I keep asking people if the black oily muck they pump out each ride is normal and didn’t have an answer till now. I think it will be a while before I need to tune to head to get more power and I’m getting plenty of efficiency I think.

    Cheers mate ;)

Only that it’s left hand drive this would be my pick – I’d go the torry out of this lot but if this was converted I’d pick it.

Well I got the right box but yeah it’s a possibility they batched ours all at the same time and mixed the boxes up.

Tex, before you get carried away fitting yours best have a look at the casting number that’s on the rectengular part that attaches to the bike. There’s another casting number on the cylindrical part under where your foot sits but thats not it.

My pegs don’t sit correctly :( I swear I have the worst mechanical luck!

I’m positive they’re fitted correctly but they don’t return to the neutral position because they don’t clear the mount. It’s not the rotational pivoting function but rather the flip upwards pivot if that makes sense.
Hope this isn’t too many pics. The last two show the cause and the others show the position they’re sitting in. I’ll have to give pivotpegz a call tomorrow but I noticed that the casting on the mounting bracket says pp-04mk2 which is for a Honda whereas the chart says I need a PP-37mk2. I know the TM has some parts that interchange with others but I think it’d be silly to bother have a seperate part number if there’s no difference in the part. Anyway I don’t like the idea of grinding the face of the peg but I think that’d probably fix it. I also don’t like it because I don’t even have a grinder!

So PWR know the specs of the stock rads then? If so, and assuming your stock rads fitted without panel beating why would there be cause for concern?
