The day I bought mine I wasn’t even going to test ride it because it was raining and it was so new I didn’t see the point.
I don’t want to pressure you tex but if you’re genuinely interested you could ask anyone from DBW (or someone else independent if you like) to either ride it and tell you or even just to vouch for it. Test riding Steve’s bike is going to be no different to test riding a new one.

I thought these look pretty good but haven’t seen them so can’t vouch really.

As far as I’m aware CTP is standardised coverage and correct me if I’m wrong but doesn’t it cover 3rd parties rather than myself therefore not my concern? I suppose if I was sued by someone I hit though……
For my comprehensive there’d be no hesitation in paying the extra and really my gripe with AAMI is their dodgy repair policies so that wouldn’t really apply to 3rd party personal injury insurance though out of principle I did consider charging you an extra $11 to get your pipe repaired to cover the extra
Yeah too late my wife spotted that and said if we get a dog she’d like one like that – she’s a cat person so it’s hard work convincing her to get any dog
They’re bound by their own online quotes but not by the MAA estimate I believe.
The bold amount is what I was quoted online and the other is from the MAA estimate.
AAMI $373.46 $422.02
Allianz $451.00
CIC-Allianz $517.00
GIO $384.22 $434.18 online
NRMA $395.37 on renewal form $476.55 or $446.77 online
QBE $491.00 $555 online
Zurich $520.00I hate AAMI but for CTP I think they’ll do.
Strange hey. I guess ultimately it will come down to what the insurer quotes me so there’s no use carrying on – I’ll just get a quote manually from each of the main players and go with the cheapest.
thanks anyway guys.

bugger… typed up a response and it crashed.
I have to recommend the guys that TB put me onto – they did a great job including installing a new insert complete with a bolt ‘seat’ due to the fact that the previous douche installed a helicoil on the piss.
IIRC it was less than $90 but I suppose if you have the tools to do it yourself then it should be fine if you’re going to pull the head. Greg Ball Engineering 20/4 ethell rd kirrawee nsw 2232 9521 8470THEY FOUND ME!!!

I don’t know that we ever get over these things, and to be honest I don’t really want to. We learn to get on though – that’s what’s important IMO.
