Never mind it’s being bid out now
Any thoughts on the trailer I PM’d you guys about?
I just sent you both a PM with a link.
I don’t necessarily need an enclosed but if I got one at a good price I figured it’d be worth the extra for the convenience. I wouldn’t be paying $2k for one that’s for sure but for $1500 or so I figure I’d get that back if I decided to sell it so it would only tie the money up rather than blow it if that makes sense.
Weight shouldn’t be an issue behind the diesel and I’ve measured it out in the garage and it will fit ok and I’ll still be able to get passed it. I figure the footprint of this enclosed is similar to an open trailer so space wouldn’t be any different really.
What extra maintenance does an enclosed trailer require?

Truer words have never been spoken,,(or typed in this case)
we should be very aware of our surround as it may not always be our fault.ie oncoming bullbar at 60ks will make a mess.
BoonyI have alpine star tech 7s and without them I would have suffered greatly. Both times I’ve belted my foot I’ve ridden on and without them I think I’d have been doubled out and straight to the horse piddle.
Nah went to the beach and was outbid by a dollar but I wouldn’t have upped mine anyway.
BTW I’ve cleaned my right foot up twice now and I think it might even be broken right now after smashing it on a rock on the edge of a rut on murph’s last ride. Time before that I let my foot get slammed between my peg and a stump right in that tender part on the inside of the achilles.

Thanks for the help
I considered one of those for a long while but was advised they’re not very secure and I figure the way I drive I’m better to have something strong that will last.

xy has made quite a generous offer to build me an open trailer, good on ya mate I appreciate having the option
NFI what you’re gibbering about mate, I’m considering bidding on that one for the horn but I’ll be buying the toggle switch for the kill switch because I like the idea of it being a switch rather than button even though I expect my fine motor skills are limited to puckering up when I’m heading at a large puddle :p
I haven’t seen a post that said the switch in my opening post was no good but then it’s hard to pick through the shit sometimes
Yeah that’s what I’m wary of
I’m not too keen on anything too big either because I’m in a townhouse and my garage isn’t enormous by any means.
It’d be sitting where my bikes are in the pic below so I’m guessing that with the ute in the garage it’ll have to reverse over the drawbar.
This is an interesting one for me as I’m still developing my use of the controls. I find that I’m mostly on the balls of my feet and I think I do this to avoid accidentally hitting the levers and also for balance. The down side of this is that you need to move your whole foot to get the levers and it also works your quads more compared to being towards your heels which will work your glutes and hamstrings.
I also lowered my brake lever because i was locking up the rear too much when I didn’t mean to but now I feel like I really need to stretch to use the brake so I’m going to come up further again. I’m keen to go back to using pivot pegs and hope that addresses the problem.
Is someone from here bidding on that? This is the problem with posting ebay links, you bring the item to everyone’s attention!
