Hey mate have you read up on the starter issues the 300 has? I think there was a good thread on another site let me know if you want it and I’ll find it for you. IIRC they’re known to crap themselves after a ride or two unless cleaned out and repacked and sealed with grease. Don’t stress though it would obviously be covered under warranty for now.

Are you taking it to KTM newcastle for warranty etc?

I know, if you reckon that’s funny you would’ve been in stitches watching me jumping up and down on it in the garage! :( The problem was that I couldn’t get the bead off with my tyre being cold and didn’t know at the time but should’ve gone for a ride to warm them up. When I tried to turn the levers I was able to get a bit of tyre off the rim but then I was just gouging the side wall of the tyre so I had to give up before I caused serious damage.

I’m determined to learn how and tbh after watching codemaster change mongo’s I thought it’d be easy enough but I just couldn’t break the bead even when I put my knee guards on and did my best at belting the crap out of it.

How stable are they up that high mick?

I’d like to try and mount some lockable casters on the base so that I could move the bike around once it was up since my shed isn’t as roomy as the one pictured.

Well done Mal and TB. To put it in perspective I believe the group buy was for a lot more than 3 stands so to offer that price on a smaller order is great work. Are they the same stands TB? I do believe they’re made in china but by all reports they’re a good thing.

I might take you up on that delivery deal TB but I can’t let you do it for free so let me know if you’d like a sixxer of bundy rather than having me paying a courier similar $$.

Going by the fact that it never looks as steep in photos as it really was – that looks steep! Good report guys.

I love the irony here, a thread about linkage being the superior and the link was broke :p

A purpose built 350 or even 300 would be great for me thanks :D

So you liked the braces? Mine went sweet – nice and slim and didn’t notice them all day.
